XBC October Kames (CW) Sprint Sunday 07/10/2018 Dear Competitor On behalf of the Cross Border Speed Championship (XBC) and East Ayrshire Car Club (EACC), we would like to welcome you to our season closing event at Kames Motorsport Complex. This event is the final round of the Cross Border Speed Championship sponsored by Sherry Boutique and RaceAutomobilia.com, the final round of the Scottish MX5 Hillclimb & Sprint Register Championship, the final round of the Lowland Speed Championship sponsored by MAXSport Competition Tyres (Scotland), and the final round of the Scottish Sprint Championship sponsored by Guyson. We are delighted to welcome competitors in these championships. Entry The preferred method of entry is online at www.crossborderspeed.co.uk, but if you are genuinely unable to use the on-line system, a completed paper entry form can be sent to our Entries Secretary. The closing date is one week before the event. In the event that the entry list is full, a reserve list will be maintained. We would appreciate notification of competitor cancellation as early as possible in order that another competitor may be provided with a place. Track Location Kames Motorsport Complex Furnace Road Muirkirk KA18 3QQ Google Maps Link : https://goo.gl/maps/u2zlk When You Arrive at Kames Please use the top entry gate only (opposite the clock tower). This has been widened and set back from the road for ease of access. Please be mindful that residents of Muirkirk live on this road, so noise should be kept to a minimum (particularly if you are arriving early in the morning or late in the evening). If you are arriving on the evening before the event, please contact us in order that access to the complex may be arranged. The public road should not be blocked by cars or trailers at any time. We also request that all generators are turned off by 10pm. When practise starts the top entry gate will be closed to competitors. If you arrive after this time, please use the lower entry gate and unload your car in the trailer park, as the lower paddock will be in full use. Please contact the paddock marshal if you need assistance.

Road Cars When you arrive at the complex, please unload your car in the lower paddock and promptly remove your trailer to the trailer park. Please park your trailer around the perimeter of the trailer park and try to avoid blocking others in or stopping others from using valuable space. Please use the trailer parking as designated and do not abandon trailers on the grass area in front of the old toilets as this space is required for campers and for access. Please check your paddock space in advance or check with the paddock marshal and park your car in the correct paddock space as quickly as possible. Single Seaters Racing cars have a larger allocation, with space allowed for support vehicles in the lower paddock. Signing On Please sign on promptly in the cabin at the track entry gate in the top paddock. The Event The Clerk of the Course will conduct a briefing before the start. Cars will run as per the running order published for the event. A paddock marshal will control the flow of vehicles to the start line and all drivers should be vigilant and ready to go when the paddock marshal calls them. If you are not at your vehicle ready to go at the appropriate time you may forfeit your run as time is short and events must run efficiently in order to finish on time, in accordance with MSA regulations. Tyre warming is allowed at Kames in the allocated tyre warming area only. This area is marked with cones, after the track entry gate, en-route to the start line. The event will run in a clockwise direction, and will consist of three laps. Marshals will confirm the end of each run using a chequered flag. When you leave the track, please go directly to your paddock place, but adhere to the paddock speed limit of 5mph as children and members of the public are likely to be walking around. Results will be posted at regular intervals as is possible. After the Event The awards will be presented in a brief presentation around 45 minutes after the last car has completed its timed run. We would ask that if at all possible you attend the awards presentation, and show your support for fellow competitors. It is also intended that a special award will be presented on the day, which you might have won. If you are leaving the event before the end of the day please show consideration for those still competing, retrieve your trailer only when it is safe to do so, and load your car up without impeding the running of the event. Thank you for your support. The XBC Team look forward to welcoming you to October Kames 2018. Ronnie MacGregor & Dave Exton
