AUCTION BUYERS PLEASE NOTE: Contact the Donor immediately after buying a donated hunt or trip. Make sure you get your license draw applications (if required) in on time. Keep in constant contact with your outfitter by phone or e-mail as changes can occur in the conditions of your trip. As per IRS Regulations: All raffle winners over $600.00 will be required to fill out an IRS W-9 form. Michigan Raffle License #C28267

LIVE-AUCTION NOTES Details on all Live Auction items are listed in the auction List found in this program. Auction Merchandise will be on display in the Live Auction area surrounding the podium. If you require further info on an item or hunt, please inquire at the auctioneer s podium before the auction gets underway or if present, see the donor at their booth. Different hunts include or specify different things such as meals, lodging, transportation, weapon type (rifle bow, etc.), available dates etc. Please read all descriptions carefully and ask any questions you have. As a general rule licenses are not included. Some hunts may also have a VAT or GST tax. All stated auction values listed in the description are set by the respective donors. Extras such as license fees unless otherwise stated are in U.S. dollars. If you buy a hunt at our auction that the donor fails to provide for you, through no fault of our own, we will make arrangements for a replacement hunt or we will issue you a credit. If you simply find it inconvenient to go on the dates specified, or change your mind for some other reason, then it is to be negotiated between you and the donor/outfitter. SCI Detroit does it s best to solicit donated hunts only from competent outfitters. However, we do not guarantee the quality or success of any hunt purchased at this auction. All of this said, it is important to note that bunts bought at our auction generally go well, with both the donor and buyer bei ng well satisfied. Any and all modifications and/or amendments made between the purchaser, and/or those acting on his/her behalf, and the outfitter, whether before or after the purchase of an auction item, from that described in the auction description, are deemed to be new contracts between the above parties and not Safari Club International - Detroit Chapter. If there are any issues or concerns regarding the outfitters ability or willingness to fulfill his obligation as advertised in the auction description, it is the purchaser's duty, to immediately notify, in writing, the Board of Directors of Safari Club International - Detroit Chapter of said issues or concerns, in order for the board to address the same. Should the purchaser choose to proceed, absent providing proper notification, it is presumed that the purchaser is completely satisfied. Any and all hunting, fishing, memberships, tours or events purchased at the Detroit Chapter SCI are not transferable by the purchaser to any other person, persons or organizations and must be utilized by the purchaser. SCI Detroit reserves the right to modify, alter or change the contents or conditions for any or all live auction items. By bidding, the bidders agree to these conditions and hold harmless the SCI Detroit Chapter. Upgrading your hunt, while not required, is certainly appreciated by our donors. If you do not want to add another animal, consider bringing along a friend. This really helps out these outfitters and hunting companies that are trying to help us! With few exceptions, these donors are not weal thy individuals, but rather they donate to help wildlife, ensure the future of our sport, and generate new business for themselves. Please do what you can to help out. As usual, an auction item goes to the highest bidder. Even though "spotters" are located around the room, it is the bidder 's responsibility to make their bid noticed, so don 't be shy! Feel free to speak up, stand up, or wave to get the auctioneer's attention. If a final bid for the same amount is taken from two people, the bidding is closed to everyone else except those two people. All signatures on auction invoices are binding. Please make sure that any changes or additions to the printed description of an item that takes place during the actual auction are recorded on the auction invoice before you sign and pay for it. All auction sales must be finalized by the end of the night. To finalize the sale, the auction runner can take your payment, or you can go to the cashier's booth located next to the auction podium. Cash, checks, VISA, Master Card, and American Express are accepted. You may pick up your auction merchandise in the Live Auction area with your validated receipt.. Please report the results of your donated hunt on the form Included, and consider submitting a story for SCI Detroit s Trajectory magazine.

SILENT AUCTION NOTES There are many items to choose from on the SCI Detroit Chapter Silent Auction Tables. Rules for the Silent Auction are as follows: Each auction bid form will have a dollar amount increment stated that each bidder must follow. Normal increments will be $5.00, $10.00 or $20.00. SCI reserves the right to disqualify any bidder not following these listed increments. Each bid must be written on the next line below the previous bid and must include first and last name of the bidder. All bidding will be closed at the times specified within the Auction Program. Intentionally blocking access to bid sheets at any time is prohibited. If two or more bidders are in a bidding war when the silent auction is announced closed, they will be allowed to continue bidding for a short amount of time, which will be determined by the Silent Auction Coordinator. Successful bidders must pick up their paperwork at the Silent Auction table and then proceed to the cashier to pay for their items next to the live auction stage. Then they may return to the Silent Auction table to claim their items. Acceptable forms of payment include cash, checks, VISA, MasterCard, and American Express. FIRE ARMs TRANSFERS Transfers of firearms are the responsibility of the purchasers and raffle winners. The purchaser or winner of any firearm must see a representative at the Gun table before leaving the banquet. Firearm winners will complete the required transfers, have them approved, and make arrangements to pick up the gun, likely at the Michi-Gun store. Handgun winners must acquire a purchase permit before transfer.. Any raffle winner who cannot obtain an FBI NICS approval, or obtain a Michigan pistol purchase permit, will be refunded only the purchase price of winning raffle ticket.
