Educator's Assembly Instructions Exploratory Learning: Youth Education Program Product distribution through Ohio State University Extension, 4-H Youth Development

2 Assembly Instructions DO NOT DISCARD SHIPPING CARTON. Remove all items from the shipping carton and check them with those listed on the attached contents sheet. If any items are missing or damaged, please call or email Ohio 4-H Learning Lab Kits at 614-292-9772 or learninglabkits@cfaes.osu.edu. After determining that everything is included, fold the flaps of the shipping carton down inside the carton. Open the canvas carrying case and place the carton inside. This not only makes a sturdy storage place for all the posters, charts, diagrams, and photos included in the kit, but also allows the kits to be stacked. Next, attach the vinyl, adhesive labels to the zipper pouches. Before you begin to use your kit, cut out the following poly identification/description tags with a sharp pair of scissors:* - Anatomy of the Foot - Anatomy of the Foot - for the Novice - Horse Breeds and Breed Traits - Conformation- Front View, Rear View, Front Side View, Rear Side View - Determining the Horse's Age by Its Teeth - Digestive Tract - Nutrition Unit - Feed Samples - Leg Anatomy - Medication Label and Medication Insert - Parts of a Horse - Parts of the Hoof - Horse Nutrition - Plant Identification - Reproductive Tract of the Mare and the Stallion - Skeletal System of the Horse - Skeletal System of the Horse - for the Novice - Tack and Equipment: Draft, Driving & Racing; English; General; and Western Now, attach the soft halves of the Velcro dot sets to the back of all the poly identification tags (except for Breeds and Traits of Horses, Feed Samples, Tack and Equipment, and Plant Identification - these poly tags do NOT require Velcro). Attach the rough halves of the Velcro dot sets to the corresponding points on the posters, charts, or diagrams that you wish the learner to identify. Some posters and charts have arrows or lines indicating where the identification tags should be placed. (Extra dots are included.) Sort identification/description tags and situation/task statements. Place in the corresponding zipper pouches. The Educator's Resource Materials Set contains assembly instructions; contents list; and masters of posters, charts, diagrams, situation/task statements, and identification/ description tags. These items may be copied if you need to replace pieces of your lab kit. When writing on laminated posters, use a non-permanent marker and clean with a moistened paper towel. * If you have problems identifying the following materials, refer to your Educator's Resource Materials Set.
