All events to take place in the Bridge Centre / Distillery Lane unless otherwise stated Event Event Description Theme Street Art Area for participation of children in a number of arts and craft activities, such as finger painting, marbling and paper plate crafts. There will be a number of games around this such as snakes and ladders, hopscotch, musical chairs (all outside weather permitting). Throughout the weekend there will also be face painting, treasure hunt and kiddies disco. The closed road will host chalk pavement art. The area will be colourfully adorned with free standing and hanging decorations including (giant flowers, toadstools, phoenix charicitures, paper garlands, etc. Seating will be available in the form of sculpted logs and cushions. Children running and playing; Control Measures; At all times TAF volunteers will be present supervising all the activities. Street Performers Competition At least 5 street performers are expected to perform in the Street Performers Competition. Each performer will be given a set pitch in an appointed area on Distillery Lane. Performers are responsible for controlling their audience and performance area including, but not limited to, keeping the street/area clear for pedestrian movement and properly disposing of any waste or debris after the performance. Stewards may stop the performance to clear the area if necessary. All equipment must remain under the control of the Performer or designee. No equipment shall be left unattended for any length of time, nor shall equipment reduce pedestrian access. Abandoned equipment deemed a security/health risk may be confiscated or destroyed. No Performer shall use any object or engage in activities likely to cause harm to the Performers, the public, personal or Port property or the environment. This may include knives, guns, swords, torches, flames, axes, saws, aerosol spray cans or other objects that can cause bodily injury. Licensed Performers with specific risk insurance coverage may be permitted to use these objects, with the Festivals s prior written permission. Under no circumstances will flames or other spark producing devices be permitted on or near any flammable structure or building. Approval is at the sole discretion of the Festival stewards and may be revoked at any time. A juggle may fall during juggling; a stilt walker may fall; Control Measures; All events using fire will take place in a barrier controlled area At all times during events including fire, TAF volunteers will assist this barrier controlled area with fire extinquishers and fire blanket. All the event participants will be experienced eventers Spectacle / Performance - A selection of street performers (StageCraft Ireland) will provide various circus skill entertainment including costume walkabout, stilt walking, fire poi, juggling and general amusement. On Sunday evening a scheduled fire show will take place with choreographed fire poi, fire dance & fire juggling performance. Dance Exhibition on Platform. Various theatrical productions performed by theatrical groups Jasango, TADS, Midland Drama School, special guests. None Kids Bouncing Castles & Carnival Games A selection of bouncy castles and children s amusements will be provided by professional and experienced entertainment providers. All providers will have suitable insurance and indemnity to stakeholders. Each provider will be solely responsible for their area. None International Film Show in Presbyterian Hall Selection of local and international short films. None Art Exhibition Art exhibition in retail units None Photographic Exhibition Exhibition of local photographs None Art Trail Selection of local and international artists display work in various retail units around town. Artists will decorate/adorn retail units with their art/installation viewable to the public through the window. None
Just Forest Exhibition Educational outdoor exhibition promoting the use of sustainable wood None Acoustic Musicians at Bladhma Stage Selection of local and national musicians/singer/songwriters in the Phoenix Rising stage (acoustic) Electric leads, Spotlights, Control Measures; All electrical systems will conform to all legislation and regulations the elevated stage will be secured from patrons by barriers, access to the stage will be controlled at all times TAF volunteers will be present during event. Fashion Show Showcase of fashion creations from amateur and professional local designers None Fancy Dress Tug-o-war Selection of local tug of war teams pulling for the TAF Championships None Control Measures; Barriers to control tug area At all times TAF volunteers will be present during event Offaly Art & Craft Market Up to 20 stalls selling selection of locally produced art, food & craft. Applications will be accepted from local producers. Goods sold by stall holders must not directly compete with products being sold by Bridge Centre shops. No stall holders will be allowed operate on site without appropriate insurance and indemnity to the festival and will be vetted to ensure appropriate clearance from the HSE. None Control Measures; Each stall holder will be responsible for their immediate area and must apply to standard health and safety measures at all times. At all times TAF volunteers will be present during event Aerial Acrobatics & Circus Skill Act Irish Aerialists brings together a collection of aerial acrobatics, Dance and Circus performance to present a fun, engaging and family-friendly show. An array of colourful characters especially developed for the Tullamore Arts Festival will move between the ground and the air, featuring aerial acrobatics, hoops, silks, rope and trapeze acts. This event will be performed by a troop of professional aerial artists, There will be no participation from patrons or TAF volunteers The event will be held on a purpose built set of props designed for the event and signed off by an experienced professions set rigger Control Measures; This event will take place in a designated area All participants will sign waiver forms accepting responsibility for their own actions and will also indicate experience. Event will be controlled as determined by organisers rules and insurance. This event will have clearly defined access and egress arrangements. The event area will be cordoned off totally at all times. At all times TAF volunteers will be present during event.
