Why Does Participation Matter? It is mandatory! 1.Since district, schools, and educators must comply with the law, all students will be required to participate in their designated test administration, including those enrolled in the Virtual Instruction Programs. 2.FLVS and OVS students are accountable in the State s education performance accountability system. 3.Such assessments and accountability requirements are clearly explained in the Parents and Students Agreement Form that you and your child signed at the time of the enrollment process.

Important Test Tips Avoid making medical appointments during the testing dates. If you have an extreme emergency, please contact the OVS staff immediately to make the necessary arrangements. Try to plan your family vacations, taking into consideration the assessment calendar. In that way, your student will not miss the opportunity to take the required test(s). In order to guarantee the best testing and working environment, we ask parents to please leave their child or children to participate in the testing process and come back to pick them up. Promote an atmosphere of academic success and motivation at home! The more motivated they are, the biggest will be their chances to excel in the assessments. Dates appearing on this calendar are subject to change, if determined by the State and/or the School District.
