2016 Village Creek Pageant Rules Young Ladies: Ages 13 17 All contestants will be judged on stage presentation, overall appearance, and fashion. Rehearsal will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 6:00 pm in the tent on the festival grounds. This is not a dress rehearsal but a time for me to go over how the pageant will be conducted. Everyone should be present. All contestants will receive one VIP parking pass for Saturday s pageant at the rehearsal. Make sure you check in at rehearsal to receive your VIP Pass and your 1 FREE Pageant Program. Contestants will be allowed to practice walking on the stage at the rehearsal. On pageant day, contestants must check in between 11:00-11:30 am. The pageant starts promptly at 12:00 pm. Only one parent should be present backstage. If weather conditions are not favorable and the pageant needs to be moved, please provide us with a phone number on the application that you can be contacted at on Friday night or Saturday morning. ONE DRESS CATEGORY ONLY AS FOLLOWS: Young ladies 13 17 years: Formal Pageant Dress PLEASE COME BY THE CHAMBER OFFICE BETWEEN 9AM-4PM ANYTIME TO GET YOUR DAUGHTERS PHOTO TAKEN. ON SEPTEMBER 20 TH I WILL BE HERE UNTIL 7PM FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT NEED MORE TIME. I WILL ALSO BE HERE OCTOBER 1 ST FROM 12-3 FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT CAN T MAKE IT DURING THE WEEK. THIS PHOTO WILL BE USED TO DETERMINE THE PHOTOGENIC WINNER IN EACH CATEGORY. THE PHOTO WILL ALSO BE RAN IN THE HARDIN COUNTY NEWS PRIOR TO THE PAGEANT. (THERE IS NO EXTRA CHARGE FOR BEING JUDGED IN THE PHOTOGENIC CATEGORY). Your category for the pageant will be determined by your age on Oct. 26, 2016. Unsportsmanship like conduct will not be tolerated. No bare mid-drifts allowed. Bras must be worn for those who are age appropriate. Contestants who are age appropriate must have never been married nor had a child. Contestants throughout Southeast Texas are invited to participate.
All 2015 1 st place winners in the pageant are expected to ride in the Lighted Night Time Christmas Parade in December. You will be mailed a regristration form for the parade in November. You are responsible for providing your own vehicle to ride in during the parade. The pageant must have 50 contestants enrolled by September 30, 2016 in order for the pageant to be held. At least 5 contestants must be enrolled in each catergory; otherwise, categories may be combined. Both parent and contestant, if age appropriate, must read over pageant rules and sign form to be considered fully enrolled in the pageant.
