Can Your Fines in May May 4th through 9th All NCPL branches will accept your non-perishable donations and take $1 off overdue fines for each item donated. Please note all items must be store bought, prepackaged, unopened and within the expiration date. Items will be used for children s programs and the local food pantries. Patrons must still pay for fees on lost and damaged items. Fines forgiven under this policy shall only be for overdue fees on materials that have been returned. NCPL East afterschool group was treated to a visit from a local K-9 dog and his handler, who showed the kids the tricks of the trade that include drug sniffing and attack commands. KiPS to begin June 10 Our Kindergarten Prep School is a jumpstart into kindergarten sponsored by Central Noble Schools and the Noble County Public Library. This program boosts a child s kindergarten readiness by receiving instruction from Central Noble teachers with assistance from NCPL employees. All incoming Central Noble school district children who are eligible for kindergarten in 2015-2016 school year can register and attend. KiPS will be held every Wednesday and begins June 10 from 8:30 to 11:30am. Registration forms are available at the NCPL Central s front desk. For more information call Kelly Parks at 260-636-7197. Painted Pillow class Make your own one-of-a-kind decorative pillow case in a special class to held at NCPL West in Cromwell. The $20 fee covers all supplies - case, fabric, buttons, paints, etc. to make a 12 canvas case that fits a 12 pillow form. The class is Thursday, May 28 at 6pm. SUMMER JUMP is a FREE camp that fills up fast so call early! INTRODUCING. Craft Therapy Group! We re starting a monthly adult craft club and you re invited! Starting in May, we ll host a program where we create a new craft that we ve pulled from Pinterest o r a n other source. Pricing will vary per program, so be on the lookout for our Craft Therapy schedule that will included specific dates, attendance limits and pricing. Registration for each event will be required unless otherwise stated. OUR FIRST Craft Therapy group will be held Thursday, May 7 from 5:30-7pm. Decorate your outdoor space with the weather-friendly clay pot you ll be painting at this program. Various sample pictures will be available, along with help from our adult programmer, Suzie.
