Morning intramurals have begun. Basketball will be on Tuesdays and Volleyball will be on Thursdays. It runs from 7:45 to 8:30AM. You need a parent permission form to participate.

Fitness Club will meet Friday morning at 7:45 AM in the main gym! It is open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. Permission forms can be found by the main office. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Murphy. Hope to see you there!

It s Socktober! Have you brought any items in? We are collecting socks, toiletries, and more! The last day to bring in items will be October 27th. Be an Eagle and help make Socktober a sockcess!

There is a new club in town called. The Friendship Connection WANTED: Caring, kind and patient students who are looking to spend a fun-filled afternoon playing games, hanging out, and getting to know the AWESOME students in Mr. Leoni s room! Signup sheet will be outside Mr. Leoni s door Room C-3. Space is limited to 30 participants. Please sign up by November 6th. Our first meeting will be on Thursday, November 9th in the Collaboration Center until 4:05. Any questions..come see Mr. Leoni in C-3.

The girl s 7th grade basketball team lost to Simmons 28-8 last night. Practice tonight from 3:15-4:30. The girl s 8th grade basketball team defeated Simmons 37-3. Practice tonight from 4:30-6. The ladies are home Thursday vs Palos.

The 6th/7th Grade Boys Volleyball Team defeated Simmons in two well played games. The 8th Grade Boys Volleyball team lost to Simmons last night in two hard fought matches. The Boys travel to Palos Thursday to take on the Cardinals.

The Scholastic Book Fair will be in the Media Center until Friday October 20th. You can browse and shop when you visit during with your language arts class and during TIP. Don't forget to pre-order your copy of the NEW Diary of a Wimpy Kid book coming out in November! You can also order books online by visiting the media center page. Remember to wear your western gear for a chance to win a Plush Horse coupon!

There will be a Mathletes meeting today, October 18th in the collaboration center. Be there or be square!

Red Ribbon Week is taking place October 23rd though the 27th. During Red Ribbon Week, schools across the nation join together to promote a drug-free lifestyle and encourage students to make positive, healthy choices. Please take part in the following activities to take a visible stance against substance abuse. Monday: Wear crazy socks or the color green Tuesday: Wear sunglasses or the color yellow Wednesday: UNITY DAY, wear your favorite hat or the color orange Thursday: Wear your sweats/active clothes or the color blue Friday: Wear your favorite sports team apparel or your school colors

Yearbook orders are due at school by October 31st. Online or Phone orders are due by December 22nd. Order forms are located outside of the main office.

Newspaper will meet Tuesday, November 24, 3:00-4:15.

There will be a Yearbook Meeting on Monday, October 23rd after school in the Collaboration Center room A3.

WE WILL MEET IN THE COMMONS AFTER SCHOOL. BRING YOUR SCRIPTS AND A PENCIL. ON FRIDAY, THERE IS A CREW MEETING IN ROOM B16 UNTIL 4:00. MAKE SURE YOU SIGN UP FOR THE ACTIVITY BUS IF YOU ARE NOT GETTING A RIDE. THERE IS NO REHEARSAL FOR CAST MEMBERS ON FRIDAY. HOWEVER, THE CAST IS EXPECTED TO BRING SCRIPTS HOME TO START WORKING ON MEMORIZATION. IT'S GOING TO BE A FABULOUS SHOW!

Halloween Dance! Friday, October 27th from 6 to 8pm in the PV gym. Early bird tickets are $4 from today, 10/16-10/20 and $5 starting 10/23. Tickets will be on sale during lunch in the commons. Costumes are encouraged to be worn at the dance!

Student support runs in the Media Center Monday through Friday mornings from 7:45-8:30 and Monday through Thursday after school from 3:15-4:05.

In honor of Prairie View's 25th year celebration, we will be playing music every Friday from the 25 years we have been in existence. This Friday, we will be playing top songs from 1996.

And remember Prairie View, believe in yourself and believe in each other!
