Did you know SKIBACS Ski/board school offers several weekday lessons on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday! Come up during the week then have the weekend to play! Our 'Sonic Boomers' program is an adult only, daytime on Wednesdays starting in early January. This 5 week series is for those who may no longer be tied down to a 'day job'. A three hour lesson, starting at 9:30 AM start for fresh tracks, get some coaching on your technique in the morning, play and practice afterwards. Wrap up at 12:30 pm (so 3 hours on snow with your coach). For intermediate and advanced level skiers only. Thursday night We also offer the XX's Rule - Women's Advanced Ski Workshop a Specialty workshop for adult women. CRYSTAL LODGE WORK PARTY Crystal Lodge Information Thank you to all the members who came out and participated in the Lodge Work Party! A lot of great work was accomplished to get the lodge ready for the season. To make a reservation visit the Lodge section of our website. www.skibacs.org/ski-lodge The butcher block island in the kitchen was updated to allow for separate bins to sort compostables, glass, other recyclables, and dry garbage! Check out activities near the Lodge Thank you to Kris Ryding for donating the kindling box and Dan Krueger (Lt. Dan) for donating the firewood rack! Both will provide members with well dried supplies when lighting the first fires of the weekend Trim on the Northside and Southside dining room door (left) were replaced.

Information www.skibacs.org/ski-lodge A new method for enclosing the firewood is set back from the edge of the deck to keep Snow from piling in, and is brown rather than bright blue to be less obtrusive Check out activities near the Lodge Firewood bought by skibacs and donated by a member was stacked under the deck in a new configuration design to keep it dryer. The huge pile of wood and metal trash in front of the building was carted away in a large truck load. A whole bunch of brush and small trees that were encroaching on the covered walkway got removed.
CRYSTAL LODGE Crystal Lodge Information The SKIBACS Lodge is located within walking distance of the Crystal Mountain Ski Area in the Snoqualmie National Forest, adjacent to the Mount Rainier National Park. The lodge is a tri-level building with complete sleeping, cooking, and living accommodations for 72 people. It is accessible by road when conditions permit or by a short footpath from the roadside parking area. www.skibacs.org/ski-lodge 16 rooms and vary to sleep 4-8 people Central Lounge with fireplace. For the most part, the member dues enable SKIBACS to have a receptionist, a website, and the on-going expenses of running a business. Marketing Do you have ideas on how we can market the club? We need help with getting the word out about SKIBACS. There are loads of opportunities to do this, we just need help putting together a solid and robust plan for the club. This would include working on the club brochure, organizing participation in the Boeing Family Days, and finding other events at Boeing to participate in. If interested contact Shannon Trudeau, Marketing Chair IT We need help to maintain our new system, continue to improve user interface as well as administration duties. We are looking for help to better utilize our social media outlets (Facebook, Blog posts, Twitter). We are also looking for help developing a digital marketing plan to promote and market the club. RETIREEZ Membership Retireez Membership Levels Did you know that SKIBACS has a retirees sub-group within the club. Its purpose is to provide an opportunity for Boeing retirees to socialize together, ski together, and to further the interests of retirees within the club. Other exclusive Retireez activities include mid-week programs such as Sonic Boomers, overnight gatherings at the SKIBACS lodge at the Crystal ski area, mid-week one day ski trips, and multi-day ski trips optimized for retired folks.
