October 215 SWEEPS REPORT ATLANTA November 3, 215 Channel 2 Action News attracted 53% of the news audience and ranked #1 once again as Nielsen reported the final results of the October Sweeps. The station ranked #1 in 21 hours of the average weekday. Channel 2 Action News This Morning from 4:3-7 a.m. out-delivered #2 WAGA by 87% and had 11% more viewers than its local news competitors combined. The Atlanta ABC affiliate s 11 p.m. news delivered 6% more viewers than the next closest station at 11 p.m. Channel 2 Action News grew its audience over last year s sweeps period in the following time periods: 4:3 a.m. - Up 9% Year over year, with 1% more audience than the #2 news station. 5 a.m. - Up 2% with 1% more audience than the #2 news station. 5:3 a.m. - Up 4% with 18% more audience than the #2 news station.
