The NCAA Division I Football Championship game will be played in Frisco, Texas, on Saturday, Jan. 5 at 11 am CT (ESPN2). u The College Football 150th Anniversary will be a celebration for all divisions of the sport. A season-long campaign, the uniform logo program will be the most widespread effort of its kind in the history of college athletics. At the FBS and FCS levels, 100 percent of those Division I schools have placed orders for jersey patches indicating they will participate next season. CFB150 staff has been working with NCAA, NAIA and junior college institutions to survey membership and more than 200,000 uniform patches and helmet decals have been ordered for delivery in February 2019 for season-long use. The uniform logos are available at no cost to the institutions. A E FACES of the FCS David Johnson (UNI) is in his fourth season with the Arizona Cardinals. In his career, he has rushed for 2,237 yards and has 1,610 receiving yards. Johnson has 38 career touchdowns, including 6 this year. u At 4-0, Kennesaw State is on the cusp of its second consecutive outright Big South championship, as the Owls can clinch the title this Saturday with a victory at Monmouth. KSU is attempting back-to-back undefeated Big South seasons, a feat last achieved by Liberty in 2007 (4-0) and 2008 (5-0), and just twice overall. Kennesaw State, which has won nine-straight Big South games -- the third-longest in league history, is the first Big South member with consecutive 4-0 league starts since former member Stony Brook from 2009-12. u There are three matchups featuring a pair of Top 25 teams across FCS football this week. A total of 24 ranked teams are in action this week (ETSU has a bye.) STATS FCS rankings are denoted below. #20 Towson at #7 Elon, 12 pm ET [CAA.TV] #11 Delaware at #12 Stony Brook, 1 pm ET [CollegeSportsLive / CBS Digital] #4 UC Davis at #5 Eastern Washington, 4 pm ET [SWX Washington/Idaho] u North Dakota State (9-0), Colgate (8-0), and Princeton (8-0) still have perfect records through Nov. 3. NDSU owns the nation s longest active winning streak in the FCS, at 15 games. Four FBS teams are also unbeaten (Alabama, Clemson, Notre Dame, UCF). u San Diego owns the nation s longest active winning streak at home, with 20-straight wins. 20 - San Diego (PFL); 14 - NDSU (MVFC); 14 - Kennesaw State (Big South); 12 - Grambling (SWAC); 11 - McNeese (Southland) u FCS teams have recorded seven wins against FBS schools. Last year, FCS schools notched nine wins against FBS schools. Since 1978, FCS schools have recorded double-digit win totals against the FBS six times, most recently in 2016 (10 that year). The FCS set a record in 2013 with 16 wins against FBS schools. FCS wins against FBS schools UC Davis 44, San Jose State 38 (Aug. 30) Villanova 19, Temple 17 (Sept. 1) Nicholls 26, Kansas 23 (Sept. 1) Northern Arizona 30, UTEP 10 (Sept. 1) North Carolina A&T 28, E. Carolina 23 (S2) Maine 31, Western Kentucky 28 (Sept. 8) Illinois State 35, Colorado State 19 (S22)

BIG SKY -- With a win this Saturday, UC Davis will claim at least a share of the Big Sky regular season title. It would be the first league title in school history for UCD. The Aggies will play at Eastern Washington. The Eagles sit in a three-way tie with Idaho State and Weber State - one game behind the Aggies. The Big Sky is looking to get four teams in the FCS Playoffs for the first time since 2016. With the FCS Committee s Top 10 release last week, the Big Sky had three teams ranked. UC Davis led the way at No. 3, Weber State was ranked No. 3, and Eastern Washington was No. 9. The Big Sky has three teams in the Top 10 for the third consecutive week. Weber State, UC Davis and Eastern Washington filled the 3-4-5 spots in the FCS STATS poll, while the Eagles are ranked third, Wildcats fourth and Aggies seventh in the AFCA poll. Idaho State is the newest Big Sky team to enter the polls this season at No. 24 in the FCS STATS Poll and No. 25 in the AFCA Coaches Poll. Montana State and Montana are also receiving votes. The Big Sky will have two games on ROOT SPORTS this week. First, Montana State will host Northern Colorado at 1:05 p.m. MT, followed by Montana at Idaho which is set for a 3:35 p.m. PT kickoff. The games can be seen live on the DirecTV Audience Network and DISH Studio. BIG SOUTH -- Gardner-Webb is 2-1 after three Big South games, its best start to the league slate since a 2-1 mark in 2009. The Runnin Bulldogs have won back-to-back conference games for the first time since the end of the 2016 season, and have scored 30 points in consecutive Big South contests for the first time since 2012. GWU can clinch its second winning Big South season in three years with a win in its remaining two games. Kennesaw State QB CHANDLER BURKS is the first Big South player with 50 career rushing touchdowns, as he broke the all-time mark of 48 this past Saturday with four rushing scores against Campbell. The previous record was held by MIQUEL MAYSONET. Burks is the second player in league history with 50 career touchdowns, and is now second all-time and three from matching Maysonet s overall record of 53. Burks leads all of FCS in rushing touchdowns and total touchdowns with 23 -- a Big South single-season record by a quarterback and the second-most in a campaign. That record is 27 set by Coastal Carolina s LORENZO TALIAFERRO in 2013. Burks 23 scores have come in the last eight games -- all multi- TD efforts for another record as the longest multi-td streak in Big South history. CAA FOOTBALL -- The CAA Football race is the most competitive in the nation with the top six teams separated by just one game. Delaware and Maine are tied atop the standings with 5-1 marks. Elon is a half-game back at 4-1, and there is a 3-way tie for fourth at 4-2 between James Madison, Stony Brook and Towson. There are numerous head-to-head matchups between the top six teams over the final two weeks. CAA Football has had 10 conference games that featured two nationally ranked teams this season and the majority of them have gone down to the wire. Seven of the 10 contests have been decided by seven points or less, including Maine edging Towson, 35-28, last week. There are two more Top 25 matchups on Saturday as No. 7/5 Elon hosts No. 20/20 Towson and No. 11/12 Delaware travels to No. 12/15 Stony Brook. There were five interceptions returned for touchdowns in last Saturday s games. Villanova s Nowoola Awopetu became first player in school with two pick sixes in the same game as he made TD returns of 20 and 18 yards in a 5:11 stretch of the third quarter at Richmond. New Hampshire got a 44- yard pick six from Rick Ellison and a 75-yarder from Evan Horn in the first half of the Wildcats win over JMU. Elon s Warren Messer took an interception 86 yards for a score late in the first half in a victory over Rhode Island. IVY LEAGUE -- The Ivy League closed out non-conference play with an 18-6 mark, marking the fourth-straight season with a.500-or-better non-conference record. The League has now posted back-to-back.750 non-conference winning percentages, pacing the FCS in both 2017 and 2018. The Princeton Tigers can clinch at least a share of the Ivy League championship, as well as its first 9-0 start since 1964, and could break into the national Top 10 with a victory in the 141st meeting between Princeton and Yale. This is the longest-running rivalry in the Ivy League, and the second-longest in all of Division I. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+ Dartmouth faces Cornell on Saturday. This is the 100th consecutive season the two teams have played, the second longest continuous series in the FCS, trailing only the Lafayette-Lehigh series. And on top of that, this is the 300th game for Buddy Teevens as a Division I head coach with 189 of those games over two stints at Dartmouth. He has also spent time leading Maine, Tulane and Stanford. MEAC -- The MEAC Championship trophy and Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl berth are still up for grabs as Florida A&M s loss last weekend means six teams are still in the hunt for the coveted trophy. The field will reduce to five after the MEAC s Thursday night match-up featuring Bethune-Cookman and North Carolina Central as both have two losses. There will be a total of five games this weekend with four counting towards the league standings as the Florida A&M/South Carolina State contest will be counted as a non-conference contest. For the first time since 2015, the MEAC Champion will have at least once loss as Florida A&M was the lone undefeated team in league play entering last weekend. In 2015, three teams with one loss shared the title while five teams with two losses in 2014 were crowned co-champions. There are two, one loss teams now in Florida A&M and North Carolina A&T State. Despite its loss last weekend, Florida A&M still controls its own destiny as they need only one win to clinch a share of the MEAC Championship and a berth in the Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl. It would mark their first title since capturing a share of the MEAC crown since 2010. FAMU hasn t won an outright title since 2001 as two more losses by North Carolina A&T State and a FAMU win on Nov. 17 would accomplish that feat. North Carolina A&T State s Marquell Cartwight and Jah-Maine Martin became the first Aggie duo in 27 years to each rush for 100 yards in the same game last week versus Norfolk State.

MISSOURI VALLEY -- North Dakota State earned at least a share of the 2018 MVFC title and the league s automatic berth into the NCAA playoffs with a win last weekend against Youngstown State. The Bison hold a two-game advantage over three teams in the standings (UNI, SDSU and Western Illinois). NDSU would win the tiebreaker in the event it ties any of those three teams. Western Illinois trailed Southern Illinois on Nov. 3, 2018, 31-14 before scoring the first of 20 unanswered points with a Sam Crosa field goal with 13:33 remaining in the 4th quarter. The 17-point fourth-quarter comeback tied for the fifth biggest comeback in league history. Indiana State s Ryan Boyle accounted for seven TDs in Indiana State s win against South Dakota (5 passing, 2 rushing). It s the most in a game by an MVFC player this year. QB Easton Stick of NDSU had 6 TDs (2 rush, 4 pass) in the Bison win vs. UNI. Boyle rushed for 187 yards in the Sycamores win against South Dakota on Nov. 3. It was the fifth-most in the league this year, and the most by a QB. NORTHEAST -- The lone two teams who control their own destiny in the race for the NEC s automatic berth to the FCS Playoffs Duquesne and Sacred Heart meet in Week 11 at Rooney Field. Sacred Heart can clinch an automatic postseason berth by defeating Duquesne on Saturday. Should Duquesne win, the Dukes could wrap up the FCS Playoffs bid by winning again in Week 12. NEC Front Row will carry the high-stakes affair live at 12:00 pm ET Saturday. Central Connecticut and Saint Francis U, two teams who are still alive in the conference title chase, battle in the featured #NECFB Game of the Week on ESPN3 at 12:00 pm ET Saturday. Two players are poised to move up the all-time NEC charts during the game. CCSU QB Jacob Dolegala (7,757) is 56 yards from moving into fifth place on the league s career passing list while SFU WR Kamron Lewis (3,188) needs 19 yards to take over third place on the all-time NEC receiving leader board. Wagner LB Cameron Gill (17.5), Bryant DE Tomas Wright (17.0), Saint Francis LB Da Jon Lee (16.5) and SHU DE Chris Agyemang (13.5) all rank amongst the NCAA FCS Top-20 Leaders in tackles for a loss. OHIO VALLEY -- With two weeks remaining the regular season, Southeast Missouri and Jacksonville State are tied for first place in the OVC. SEMO won the head-to-head meeting and would earn the OVC s automatic bid to the playoffs with wins in each of the final two weeks of the season; the only other time the Redhawks won the OVC and went to the playoffs was in 2010. If Jacksonville State wins its final OVC game this week, the Gamecocks would win at least a share of its fifth-straight OVC Championship, the first time that has happened in league history. Eastern Kentucky earned its 600th all-time victory with a 17-13 win at Austin Peay last week. The Colonels are one of just 20 schools in FCS history to reach 600 all-time wins. Entering this week three of the top four wide receivers nationally in terms of touchdown catches are from the OVC. That includes Jacksonville State s Josh Pearson (15), Eastern Illinois Alexander Hollins (13) and Southeast Missouri s Kristian Wilkerson (11). PATRIOT -- Colgate tied South Carolina State s FCS single-season shutout record by registering its fifth of the season with a 41-0 victory over Fordham on Nov. 3. With the win, the Raiders also clinched a share of the Patriot League title and the automatic bid to the FCS Playoffs behind a defense that has not allowed a touchdown to an opposing offense in 28-consecutive quarters dating back to the fourth quarter of their season-opening 24-17 win against Holy Cross on Sept. 1. Dan Hunt s Raiders have NCAA DI FCS s top scoring defense, allowing just 2.9 points per game through eight games and have begun the season 8-0 for the first time since 2009. The Raiders 13 consecutive wins is the second-best active win streak behind North Dakota State s 15 straight wins. The Raiders are No. 8 in the FCS Coaches Poll and No. 12 in the STATS FCS Top 25 Poll. Colgate s defense has played at a historic level during the 2018 season tying the FCS single-season shutout record of five, set by South Carolina State in 1978. The Raiders lead the nation in total defense (194.6 yds. allowed/gm), scoring defense (2.9 pts. allowed/gm), rushing defense (57.8 yds. allowed/ gm), pass efficiency defense (83.88) and red zone defense (.364). The Raiders defense has scored three touchdowns this season and allowed just two. They have gone 28 straight quarters without allowing a touchdown, dating back to Sept. 1. Dom Bragalone is the FCS s active leading rusher and eighth in PL history with 4,227 rushing yards. He is seventh in PL history with 43 rushing TDs. The senior running back became Lehigh s career rushing leader and tied the program s record for rushing touchdowns with his 137-yard, three-touchdown performance in the season opener against Saint Francis (Pa.). Bragalone passed Rabih Abdullah s ( 97) previous record of 3,696 rushing yards, while passing Rod Gardner s ( 77) mark of 42 rushing touchdowns against Bucknell on Nov. 3 when he broke out for a season-high 177 yards. PFL -- Butler wide receiver Pace Temple joined the 3,000-receiving yard club with a 196-yard outing at Jacksonville in Week 10. He is the seventh PFL receiver to reach the milestone and is eighth among the FCS active career leaders. San Diego s Anthony Lawrence is now No. 2 on the PFL career passing list, entering Week 10 with 11,461 yards. The PFL career mark sits within reach, Lawrence needing 458 yards to break the record set by Morehead State s Austin Gahafer (11,918 yards, 2013-17). Lawrence was the second San Diego quarterback to reach the 10,000-yard milestone, joining Mason Mills (10,204 yards, 2010-13). Marist wideout Juston Christian became the PFL career receiving yards record holder in Week 10 action at Morehead State. The Red Foxes receiver currently has 3,886 career receiving yards. Christian now looks to join the elite 4,000-yard club, which counts only 17 FCS receivers all-time. He is only the sixth receiver in league history to amass 3,000 career receiving yards.

SOUTHERN -- ETSU topped Mercer 21-18 on Nov. 3 to clinch at least a share of its first-ever SoCon title. The Bucs are idle this week but could still secure the title outright if Furman, Samford and Wofford all lose Saturday. Should any of those three win, ETSU will play for the outright title when it closes the regular season at home against Samford on Nov. 17. At 8-2 overall and 6-1 in SoCon play, the Bucs have notched their most league wins since going 7-1 in 1996 en route to their only FCS postseason berth. ETSU s margin of victory in its six SoCon wins is just 2.7 points per game, as the Bucs have routinely found ways to win their close contests. ETSU has won four league games by three points and two by just two. Samford, which went 0-4 in September, has recovered with a four-game win streak to move to 4-2 in league play and keep its hopes alive for a share of the regular-season SoCon title and the league s automatic bid to the FCS playoffs. The Bulldogs dropped No. 8/9 Wofford on Nov. 3, 35-20. Samford quarterback Devlin Hodges continued his charge through the SoCon and FCS record books against the Terriers, throwing for 399 yards and four touchdowns and running for 18 yards and a score. Hodges career total offense yardage now stands at 14,720, just 33 back of Armanti Edwards SoCon record and good for a tie for third in FCS history. He moved up three spots on the FCS career passing yardage list, and with 13,776 to his credit, now trails only record-holder Steve McNair, who posted 14,496 for Alcorn State from 1991-94. Hodges four TD passes made him the SoCon s career leader at 109, which ties for 12th in FCS annals. SOUTHLAND -- Lamar QB Jordan Hoy has claimed the Southland Conference Player of the Week award for the past two weeks. Hoy has pushed the Cardinals to a four game conference win-streak. Most recently, the junior pushed Lamar to an impressive 38-24 win over a then 19th-ranked Central Arkansas program. The top of the standings have become cluttered as Nicholls, McNeese and Incarnate Word each hold a portion of the first-place position. Each team holds a 5-2 record in Southland Conference play. Lamar has shown their poise in the red zone throughout the season. The Cardinals hold a.933 percentage when finding their way into the red zone, a feat which ranks fourth in the nation among FCS programs. Week 10 marked a prolific offensive week throughout the Southland Conference. Four teams registered games with 40 points or more. Abilene Christian and Northwestern State are coming off of an especially impressive contest where ACU outlasted the Demons in a 49-47 thriller. Derrick Roberson has been grabbing attention throughout the season. Roberson leads the Southland with an astounding 13 solo sacks through nine appearances. His numbers have averaged out to 1.5 sacks per game and leads the nation in the category. Lorran Fonseca put on a kicking clinic for Nicholls as they defeated Houston Baptist on the road this past weekend. The sophomore completed a lengthy 56-yard field goal for the Colonels marking a personal-best and a season-long field goal within the conference. The kick also stands second in the nation for longest field goal converted and ranks one yard shy of the nation s leader. SWAC -- The Heisman Trophy of the FCS now has an Alcorn State University football student-athlete in the hunt as junior quarterback Noah Johnson was added to the Walter Payton Award Watch List on Wednesday. Johnson is one of eight student-athletes in the country added to the list this week. He ll be looking to be just the second-ever student-athlete from Alcorn to win the award and the first since Steve McNair in 1994. Johnson leads the first-place Braves in both passing and rushing. He s thrown for 1,767 yards and 14 touchdowns, and has rushed for 802 yards and seven touchdowns. The SWAC has announced that the upcoming 2018 SWAC Toyota Football Championship game initially scheduled to be played at Legion Field in Birmingham has been relocated. The title game is now slated to be held at the home venue of the SWAC institution with the highest ranking that qualifies for the championship game. If required, tiebreakers in the league s constitution and bylaws will be used to determine team rankings heading into the championship game. The battle for the East Division is picking up as the weeks count down in the 2018 season, and two of the teams battling for the crown meet Saturday afternoon at ASU Stadium. Alabama State (3-5, 2-2 SWAC) and Jackson State (4-4, 3-2 SWAC) will face each other at 2 pm Saturday afternoon in a game shown on ESPN3. The game will be carried on the Hornet Sports Network beginning with the pre-game at 1:30 pm. Although Jackson State leads the all-time series 28-13-1, the Hornets have won the last four meetings and six of the last eight in the series.
