2010 SCEA Golf Season Points System The SCEA Vons Golf Club will be awarding points for participation and performance in the 2010 golf season. The points earned by each team will also be credited to each individual golfer on the team. These points will be tallied along with any other individual points earned. The points will be totaled at the end of the 5 th event in September. These may be used to determine who may compete at the October Corporate event either fully paid or a fraction of the cost of participation in the event. Each individual player will have his or her own point total because team members may change throughout the season. A completed and signed scorecard must be turned in at the conclusion of each tournament in order to receive credit. Points 1 Participation 2 Winner Putting Contest 2 Winner-Closest to the Pin(Men & Women) 2 Winner-Long Drive(Men & Women) 10 1 st Place Finish-And All Ties 8 2 nd Place Finish-And All Ties 6 3 rd Place Finish-And All Ties 4 4 th Place Finish-And All Ties 2 5 th Place Finish-And All Ties The 1 st through 3 rd place finishes will be determined by traditional tiebreakers for the purpose of awarding the tournament trophies or plaques. The rules applied to Best Ball Golf will apply. Points will be awarded to all teams in the top 5 finish positions (including ties). Tie breakers for points will not apply to the point accumulation through the first 5 events. If at the end of the 5 th tournament and after all points have been assigned there exists a points tie for the top spots, a tie breaker may be used. The tie break method will be determined at that time by the SCEA Golf Committee. It may be a pitch and putt contest. Weather, light and time constraints will be taken into consideration.

Point Values for Corporate Event Buy-In Points accumulated throughout the golf season will be valued for participation in the SCEA Corporate Tournament in Pismo Beach on October 16, 2010. Only the SCEA Golf Club sanctioned events are included in the points system. The points have no cash value and are not transferable. They may be exchanged for credit at the SCEA Corporate event only. Participation Points- Points received for playing in the tournament will be credited at 2% of the corporate event fee for each point. If a player is at all events the value would be a 10% discount of any or all fees scheduled for the corporate event. This may include Golf, Transportation and Lodging or any part thereof. All Other Points Earned- These would exchange at the rate of 1% of all fees for the corporate event for each point. This may include Golf, Transportation and Lodging or any part thereof. At the conclusion of the September 18, 2010 Tournament at Lost Canyons Golf Club, the points will be assessed and the winners of the sponsored participation in the corporate event will be determined. The team that will be fully sponsored will be the top point earners (tiebreakers included). That team will have a minimum of two SCEA members. The Golf Committee will allow top point earners to play with his or her own team if they desire but only the top four point earners will play completely sponsored. Additional Rules Each player in a foursome must contribute at least 2 tee shots per round. The player must indicate on the scorecard where the tee shots are made. All scorecards must be completed and signed and turned in at the conclusion of the tournament.

The first golf event of 2010 for the SCEA Golf Club was great fun. There were 76 players for the inaugural tournament at Upland Hills Country Club on January 9th. This was the Kick Off for the 2010 Season and there was great excitement as the players prepared to challenge their competitors and earn points toward the October Corporate SCEA Tournament. The theme of the event was simple. Let s get out to the golf course early and get the season started. There were new faces and many familiar ones as we took to the course for the Noon shotgun start. The scores were low for many groups at the golfer friendly course. The winning team of Ron Reyes, Anthony Reyes, John Morton, and Manny Martinez scored a 57 in the 4- Person Best-Ball and others were close behind. Some players enjoyed individual achievements on the course. Deborah Davis and Doug Kringel were the winners in the Long Drive holes while Roger Barrett took the Closest to the Pin award. The putting contest was won by Carlos Aguayo. Many of the players took advantage of the early sign-up offer for the next event at Sierra Lakes and received a 20% discount. It was great fun for us to host the event and we look forward to each tournament to be better as the year progresses. Come out and join us and bring your friends for great fun. I.J. Flowers and Ron Reyes
