Coordinator s Reports Coordinator s Reports Coaching Brent Evenson 1. Coaching Selection Committee will be holding interviews on September 16th and 17th at the STMA rink 2. EuroAmerican has confirmed to making two dates for each group during the skills sessions. 18th for girls 23rd for 2nd year boys 24th for girls 25th for 1st year boys 27th for 2nd year boys 30th for 1st year boys I have asked them to provide us with the plan the week prior to it starting so we are prepared when we hit the ice. 10 sessions per team 2 teams on the ice per session Starting September - 2 sessions per month ADM style practices Drills based on level of skill A-B-C teams Drill emailed to H.O.C each week prior to the sessions Projected Outline for season practices 1-10 edgework/conditioning edgework/conditioning Stride/backwards/transitions stride/backwards/transitions power skating/edges power skating puck control puck control shooting/puck control shooting/puck control Still accepting coaching applications get them in asap 4. Initiation Becky Rogalski/Eric Kindgren We have 153 mites registered. Parent Meeting is on Sept. 12th, from 6-8. First weekend of practice is Sept. 21st. October 4-6 are the Riverhawks & Bantam tryouts and Oct 11-13 are the Squirt & Pee Wee tryouts. All mite ice for these two weekends will NOT be held at StMA arena. Locations for mite ice TBD. Ice time is on the calendar on the website. Quorum established. 1. Tryout Process Mite move ups won t be determined until after the Squirts are done trying out Approved Sam/Jess 2. Goalie training 1. $1350 for Ryan Ess goalie instructor for the pre-tryout goalie clinics to be held Sept 21, 27 and 28th (plus 6 hours ice time) 2. $6160 for Ryan Ess goalie instructor for 70 hours of his involvement with training our goalies during team practice sessions (no additional ice cost) Split into two motions. Option 1 passed. Goalies get 3 hours of pre-try out time. Approved Kari/Eric Option 2 Goalie Training throughout the season to be discussed further. 3. Cross ice boards MN hockey grant to have them pay $2,000 towards the cross ice boards. We still pay $5,400.
