Cobras Calendar Photos Date to be advised End of June 2011 Trivia & Entertainment Night 30 July 2011 Junior Presentation 18 September 2011 Senior Presentation 24 September 2011 Welcome all to season 2011. Well we ve had our first few games and teams should be settling in to the routine. Hopefully you all have had a well- earned rest over the Easter period and are ready to really get into the rest of the soccer season. We would like to take this opportunity to firstly welcome to our club all new players and their families; I trust that you will enjoy your new club. I would also like to welcome back our loyal returning players. Thanks to Noel Baldock for his time in preparing the ground the Snake Pit which looks the best it has in quite some time. The new canteen is now operational. Thank you to our President (Rod Duncombe) for the long hard battle over the past few years without his determination we would still be in the old block and traipsing down the hill to use the toilet facilities. Still we are desperately in need of assistance at both committee level and in the canteen. Please contact the Secretary or any of the Committee to volunteer in any capacity but we would really appreciate a Canteen Supervisor and Fundraising Committee. Any help would be greatly welcome. Please check out our website at www.cobrassc.com.au. Many thanks forwarded to David Harbord for his tireless work in developing the new website. The site will be updated as information is to hand. It is a great communication tool enabling the club to get the information out to the members promptly. If you have any suggestions please forward your ideas to the Webmaster/Secretary or any of the Committee Members. We are always ready to further develop the club in a positive manner.

DUTY TEAMS As you all may be aware we have a very hard working but extremely small Committee for the size of the club. Most Committee members have children playing Saturday games and are not always able to be at the ground to set up and pack up. With this in mind it would be appreciated if teams who are allocated the first time slot help in the setting up of the field and those teams in the last time slot help pack up the fields. Setting up includes: - Setting up nets on your field and goal posts for U8/U9 teams - Placing chairs for reserves - Placing bins in designated supporter areas and around the canteen - Setting up back net for main field. - Setting up sideline posts Packing up includes: - Reversal of the above.

Registration Update A number of Registration Fees are still outstanding. It is asked that you please make full or partial payment to ensure we keep the club profitable. The club understands that some families need time to pay their fees. If you need to organise a payment plan please see The Treasurer (Leanne Longhurst) to organise this. Fees can be paid at the canteen and a receipt will be issued upon payment (ensure you receive a receipt to prove payment) or through your Manager with the Match Fees. For those that wish to pay their registrations online please make payments to: Account: Campbelltown Cobras Soccer Club Bank: commonwealth BSB: 062185 Account: 10280251 Please ensure that you put your surname as a reference to allow us to update the records of the player POSITIONS VACANT Currently the Cobras have the following positions URGENTLY requiring a volunteer. Please contact Rod Duncombe (President) 0409 461 464 or Shelley Wraith (Secretary) 0400484743 if you can assist Canteen Supervisor Fundraising Committee

Housekeeping ID CARDS ID cards will be distributed this weekend. Ensure you have them at all times ready to show the referees/other team manager prior to the game. If you are using another player from a different team make sure they have their card with them or they won t be able to take the field. Matchcards: Ensure the Coach or Manager signs the match card at both home and away games. Surnames only should be written even if there is more than one player with the same surname. Do not write initials. The FFA number distinguishes between each player. If you have a player filling in from another team please ensure you write the age group they are from next to their surname. Ensure the player who is filling in has their card with them. Finally take note of how many games a player fills in/plays up anything after 4 games the player must stay in the team he plays up on the 5 th occasion.

Red Cards Please notify the Secretary (Shelley Wraith) of any red cards issued. Notification must be made to Macarthur by Sunday evening to ensure appropriate action is taken. If Macarthur is not notified then this could lengthen the time the player in unable to play. Yellow cards All Managers are to keep an accurate record of Yellow cards issued during the season. If a player takes the field after 5 yellow cards are issued this could then jeopardise points awarded to the team. Notification of Forfeits To avoid any forfeits please contact other Coaches in lower divisions and age groups to see if any player would like an additional game. As a last resort and if a forfeit is unavoidable please contact Shelley Wraith (Secretary) 0400484743 before 4pm on Friday afternoon to ensure Macarthur is notified who will in turn notify refs and other Club/Team. This will ensure we aren t invoiced for Refs fees for a game not played and avoid being fined by Macarthur.
