FLYERS Club Meeting This months meeting will be held on Thursday Feb 14th. at PUD #3 2621 E Johns PrairieRoad, Shelton, WA Charter No. 3079 Northwest Model Hobby Expo (Monroe) Feb 8th, 9th & 10th No Minutes - Christmas party Treasurers report read and accepted as read. Tom Strom reported on the new contract which has been signed. The contract is virtually the same excepting we only have 2 required days, down from 4, and they can be canceled. Dick Robb motioned to bring a couple of the stands from Hunters to Sanderson field, motion passed. The stands MUST NOT be left on the runway. If you get one out you are responsible for putting it away. It s likely that if the Port finds one left out, we ll have to remove them. Darcy Niebeling Motioned to reserve 2 paid events, 1 fun scale event and 1 normal club flyin with lunch. motion passed. Dates and landing fee s to be determined. we need CD s for the 2 events as paid event will be sanctioned, Dick Robb is the tentative CD for the fun scale event. Tom Junior will do the flyers. Aug 24th and 25th have been reserved for the north vs south shootout Pylon race. Dick Robb mentioned that the Olympia club is looking at the idea of having a Monroe type program, minus vendors, in southwest Washington. The club liked the idea, more research is needed. Ken Nelson brought up the idea of a shed and mower at Hunters so the grass could be cut by club members who don t have/ can t haul a mower. Aaron Saeger said he had a shed he would like to get rid of and would donate (wife approval required). John Tupper and Ken Nelson will look into the cost of a decent riding mower and report next meeting. Dick Robb Motioned to have the club buy 4 tables for the donated large scale and free flight planes and put out a flyer for club members before Monroe. Motion passed. Tom Junior talked about the Hobby Town specials for SFRCF members and also about having a club build. Special flyers coming. Tom Strom thanks all the people who worked on Hunters last year. Tom Strom noted that the club funds for 2 trainers turned in to 3. One is set up with a Spektrum radio, Bob Beatty volunteered to be the caretaker/trainer for that plane. Darcy noted that we should have some training sessions at Hunters also. Bob Beatty won the raffle of 1 gallon of 15% glow fuel. Meeting adjourned 7:55 Page 1

We can use any gym in the district that is not being used, and rent the site on the per hour basis. If we rent on the weeknights, our fee is only $10 per hour!! The weekend the fee jumps to $40 per hour as they need to bring in a custodian just for us. How many of you would be interested in meeting on a weeknight every other week for a few hours of warm and windless RC fun?? Please respond back to Tom Strom Jr. at flyboy23e@aol.com if you are interested in this, and what nights would work best for you! This is a great opportunity to do some quality flying during the winter season! I look forward to hearing from all of you!! Tom Strom Jr.
SFRCF Club Build 2013 Below is a list of aircraft that would make great airplanes both to build and fly! We are trying to get as many people interested as possible to participate in a club aircraft build. All who participate would purchase the same kits, and get together once a week to work on the kits together! We are still looking for a place where we can all get together to build, but that info will come soon. For now we need to know who would like to join in, and which airplane we want to build. Please email Tom Strom Jr. at flyboy23e@aol.com if you would like to participate, and the aircraft you would like to build. The aircraft with the most votes will be chosen. Hope to hear back from all of you! Deadline to return your info is Sunday February 10th. Thanks everyone!
