We also enjoyed good attendance at our TGIF dinners and had some great Friday night entertainment. Past President Jim Wilson and his wife Gloria were honored at a party celebrating their 25 th wedding anniversary. Simon Clarke was the headliner. Congratulations, Gloria and Jim! But sadly, another fine member of our Branch has said goodbye. Comrade James Reilly, a faithful supporter of our dart leagues and husband of Ladies Auxiliary Sports Officer Andrea Reilly, has passed away. Our deepest sympathy to the Reilly family. Thanks to everyone who made Legion Week a success. Comrade Bob Dupuis, daughter Sherry & grandchildren.

Membership Drive: The membership drive got off to a fine start with a record number of renewals. The weekly winners of the TGIF dinner are very happy with this new incentive and all members look forward to the draw. The winner of the September membership is Katherine Scott. There are two more chances for some lucky members to join Katherine in the winners circle. Be sure to pay up and be eligible for the October and November draw. Remembrance Day: The poppy campaign gets underway on October 29 and ends on November 10. Please volunteer to sit at our table at the Metro store on March Road.
