NEWS FROM THE TRAINING TEAM Our CTO Daneeka Kent was very lucky this past week to have attended the Annual Beach to Bush Surf Lifesaving Queensland tour. Over the 6 days she travelled to over 20 schools and completing over 20 presentations about beach and surf safety to the primary school kids in the areas. Travelling around 1500kms from the Sunshine Coast to Biloela, Springsure, Gindie, Moura, Emerald and Rockhampton, stopping in at many more towns along the way, she got to see the differences between the Sunshine coast and the rural country towns of regional Queensland. The first Bronze/SRC Course for the season is now halfway through with the new members doing very well and quickly picking up the skills. Sunday, 7th October at 12noon there will be a BBQ and presentation at the Kawana Surf Club to congratulate all our new Bronze and SRC members. The next Bronze Course will be starting Tuesday, 16th October - If you or anyone you know is interested in doing this course it is important to register either online by emailing through to surfadmin@kawanasurfclub.com.au, or by calling through to the Club Admin.
