The Biscuit Boys Other Battalions - Training Rerserve Page 158. 1 Section 158 The Other Battalions The Training Reserve The Training Reserve Regiments were established to centralise the training of new recruits and the reintegration of men who had been wounded and returned to duty. Each Regiment had its Reserve Regiment and these were all transferred to the Training Reserve as shown below:- The numbering of soldiers of the TR Each battalion was allocated a block of 4000 numbers. The standard form for a number was "TR/the number of the District in which the Record Office of the unit was (there were 12 such Districts)/the man's unique number".
