Supplementary Report: Tamworth 8/10/18: Race 3: Trainer Mr. J Ramsey has provided stable treatment records, which detail routine husbandry care for Kneivel. Race 1: F & M Maiden Plate 1300m Gypsy Aria was hampered and carried in passing the 100m. Hi My Girl shifted in abruptly and bumped with another Gypsy Aria passing the 100m. November Two began awkwardly and raced ungenerously in the early stages. Redletter Rosie slow to begin. Neath Hill slow to begin. Race 2: C, G & E Maiden Handicap 1300m
Ballybrack trainer Mr. K Smith said that the gelding would be spelled. Regardless, Mr. Smith was advised that a warning for poor performance would be placed on the Ballybrack s racing record. Ready s Best withdrawn at 1.57pm after being unable to be loaded into the barriers. When correct weight was declared it was ordered that all bets made on Ready s Best be refunded in full and with regard to betting with bookmakers, all successful wagers placed prior to 1.57pm be subject to the following deduction on the face value of the betting ticket: 1 st Carillon 0 cents Win & 1 cent Place 2 nd voyages 1 cent Place 3 rd Set To Settle 1 cent Place Trainer Mr. K Dixon was advised that prior to racing again Ready s Best would be required to be loaded into the barrier in a timely fashion in an official barrier trial. Voyages was held up momentarily approaching the home turn and became unbalanced after bumping with another runner. Classicman became unbalanced when attempting to improve into a narrow run near the 300m. Kacper Boy hung in throughout and disadvantaged its rider. Trainer Mrs. J Clement was advised that a warning for racing intractably would be placed on the gelding s racing record. Set To Sizzle missed the start (2L), then shifted out abruptly. Race 3: Maiden Handicap 1100m Slyvia slow to begin, then crowded shortly after the start. Pluma when questioned L Cumberland explained that he had intended to obtain cover in the early stages, due to Pluma over racing at its most recent start at Scone. He said that after beginning well, his mount again over raced and he was forced to obtain cover sooner than he wished and was slightly further back than planned. He said that after this Pluma settled but failed to travel of respond when placed under pressure from the 500m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Stable representative Ms. L Gauranich said that the filly would be examined by the stable veterinary surgeon including an endoscopic analysis and likely be spelled. Trainer Mr. P Messara confirmed (15/10/18), that Pluma would be spelled.
Race 4: Open Handicap 1900m Melted Moments hung out during the middle stages. Roboosto hung in when placed under pressure in the home straight. Macmissile pulled hard in the middle stages. Race 5: Class 2 Handicap 1900m Miss Mumazara crowded at the start. Deny was restrained out of the race passing the 600m and was immediately attended by the club s veterinary officer who diagnosed a carpal fracture of the near fore knee. Deny was sedated, then humanely euthanized. When questioned S Bogenhuber explained that her mount felt normal in its action during the parade to the start and during the race and said that Deny travelled strongly and she was very confident of being prominent in the finish passing the 700m, where she angled it out to improve. Further, she said that in her opinion, there was no difference in the gelding s action or condition, from when she rode it at its most recent start at Tamworth 8/10/18. Trainer Mr. M Hatch said that although Deny had recovered well following its Tamworth race, it competed today at the insistence of the owner. He said that whilst the practice of racing horses that frequently was outside his normal operation, there was nothing apparent with Deny that caused concern with the owner s instruction. He said that deny had completed a trotting, cantering and swimming routine leading into today s race and he was satisfied that the gelding was suitable to race. Mr. Hatch provided his stable treatment records which detailed normal husbandry for Deny, which entered his stable 27/9/18. A postmortem urine sample was obtained for analysis. Conquering Kate began awkwardly and pulled hard during the early stages. Race 6: Class 2 Handicap 1400m Trainer Mr. M Mason was fined $100 (LR35), for failing to declare L Henry as the rider of Emily s Song, by the prescribed time. Falster began awkwardly and shifted in abruptly, then weakened from the 400m, despite the efforts of its rider. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding was 2/5 lame in the off fore leg. Trainer Mr. S Osland was advised that prior to racing again, Falster must undergo a veterinary examination to determine tis fitness.
Cricklewood was severely crowded at the start and lost ground (2L), then after racing wide rounding the home turn, hung in under pressure in the straight. Bouwmeester was crowded and blundered shortly after the start. Trainer Mr. W Wain said that Bouwmeester would be spelled. Japhite was crowded and carried in at the start. Anghiari was hampered and carried out passing the 200m. Isadiva a post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Trainer Mr. S Gleeson said that Isadiva would be spelled. Race 7: Benchmark 66 Handicap 1300m Image Of Love slow to begin. Victory Lass ran wide under pressure in the home straight. Dream Habit slow to begin, then hung in from the 600m. Race 8: Benchmark 58 Handicap 1100m Herecum De Drums slow to begin. Diamond Court raced fiercely with its head up for some distance passing the 900m.
