It is approximately 4 km from the city center. Among many sports facilities there is also an athletics stadium as part of a large sports complex that was built in 1987. for the purpose of organizing University Games. It has eight-lane track, appropriate warming up area, as well as other athletic facilities and appropriate changing and showering rooms for male and female. The stadium will be available for training on Friday, 26 th May. IMPORTANT DATES: The deadline for sending an entries and booking hotel reservations April 28 th The deadline for payment April 28 th Please note: It is of utmost importance to follow the deadline for sending an entries because of the timely determining classification schedule. CLASSIFICATION: International PI Classification will be held on Thursday and Friday (25 th 26 th May) according to a predefined schedule. There will be two panels for physical classification evaluations. It is important for participants to be entered for the competition on time, prior to the deadline, so that the Para Athletics department could determine the classification schedule. Athletes attending the classification evaluations must be registered in the Sport Data Management System (SDMS) to be eligible to be internationally classified. Priority will be given to licensed athletes over registered athletes. Also, New athletes will take priority over Review athletes. 2
All teams should be aware that all athletes with a N (new) or R (review) status at the IPC SDMS database will be required to attend classification. Please plan your arrival in Zagreb accordingly. World Para Athletics cannot guarantee classification for athletes entered after the entry deadline. The classification timetable will be send to the NPCs by the Organizer s office. It also will be published on the competitions website www.hasosi.hr. Please note: Athletes attending the evaluations, please make sure that you have appropriate medical documents in relation to your impairment. Hotel 'I' is in the vicinity of both Zagreb Fair and Zagreb International Airport, and is only 5 km away from the very center of the City. We have secured our guests plenty of parking spaces. Please note that the van ramp vehicles are used for transporting persons in wheelchairs. TRAVEL VISA: It is the responsibility of all competitors and support staff to establish if a visa is required to enter the Croatia and to complete all necessary paperwork. The Organizer s office can supply a help document with visa information and a written confirmation letter. MEDICAL SERVICES: During your visit to Zagreb, all team members must be covered by their own insurance policy for travel, liability, medical/dental treatment and for the cases of accidents. 4
The Stadium Medical Service will provide First Aid to the athletes. The Stadium medical staffs are also responsible for the first aid in the warning-up area. TRAINING: The Stadium will be open for training on Friday, 26 th May from 16:00h to 20:00h. TEAM MANAGERS TECHNICAL MEETING: A Team Managers Technical Meeting will take place on Friday 26 th May at 20:30h at the Hotel I. Each team may be represented by a maximum of two persons. At the beginning of the meeting you will receive a final confirmation list where you can make final changes only withdrawals we will take into consideration (no additional entries). Number bibs and accreditations will be distributed immediately after the meeting. COMPETITION RULES AND REGULATIONS: Competition will be held under the Croatian national regulations, as follows: o If 4 (or more) athletes of one sport class are presented, that will be a single class event (the Organizer reserve the right to make changes to this rule if that would have a positive impact to the quality and rhythm of the competition). o In all other cases, we will try to combine the groups and Raza point system will be used to determine placing. o The final event program and class combination will be determined along with the Technical delegate. ANTI-DOPING: Doping control will be present and run under jurisdiction of HADA national anti-doping organization. Athletes are not allowed to take or carry with them any substances that are included on the WADA Prohibited List. Athletes who are found to have violated this rule shall be held individually responsible for their action. Athletes who are taking medication from the (most recent) WADA Prohibited List for therapeutic reasons will need a copy of their Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) for any generally prohibited substance. APPLICATION FOR STADIUM ACCREDITATION An accreditation for getting into the call room and the stadium is only available for assistants of athletes with classification T/F 11 and 12, as well as F 31-33 and 51-54 and can only be used for this purpose. There will be no accreditations for assistants for athletes with other classifications.
