This safe and productive program runs each day school is in session (Mon-Fri.) - rain, snow or shine right here at the H. E. Sargent Community Center! Campers are transported by bus from the O.T.E.S & L.M.S directly to our front door. This is our way to provide peace of mind for you as a parent so that you know your child is in a safe, productive and interactive environment. Youngsters are arranged by grade levels in age appropriate groups, where we begin by sharing stories about our day, discussing our schedule for the day and enjoy a healthy snack together provided by our program. AGE GROUPS: EXPLORERS (KINDERGARTEN 1ST GRADE) ADVENTURE (2ND GRADE 3RD GRADE) LEADERS IN TRAINING (4TH GRADE-5TH GRADE) LEADERS CLUB (6TH 8TH GRADE) REGISTRATIONS OPEN AUGUST 15TH, 2013 COST: $12 PER DAY / $55 PER WEEK (RESIDENTS) $14 PER DAY / $65 PER WEEK (NON-RESIDENTS)

Join us this year as we hit the soccer field with a NEW LOOK! This year we will be teaming up with Seacoast United the largest youth soccer organization in the United States. With the Old Town Recreation and Seacoast United we will take your soccer skills, and experience to another level. Once again we will be offering our exciting K-1 Program, as we introduce the youngsters to Soccer! New this year will be League Play! We will be playing friendly's against other local communities. Friendly's will be open to the 2nd-3rd grade levels, 4th-5th grade levels, and new this year 6th-8th grade levels. We will be at a new location this year. Soccer will now be played at Leonard Middle School. Join us on the Gridiron as we introduce Flag Football. This fun non-contact sport will allow kids to experience what it is like on the football field in a fun friendly way. Kids will lean the game of football in a fun environment as we introduce them to the game. Kids will work on throwing, catching, and running. Honor, Respect, Discipline, and Responsibility. Shorin-Ryu is one of the most effective, respected, and oldest known forms of karate. The Old Town Recreation Department is proud to introduce our Sensi,Steve Apsega! Mr. Apsega has been a martial artist for over 20 years. He is very passionate about the art which shows through in every class. He has traveled to Okinawa and throughout the United States for many workshops, always bringing back the latest material to his students. Mr. Aspega says, During our time together, we will study the white crane, which held popularity from the Karate Kid movie in the 80's. The training is devised so that each person can learn at a pace comfortable to them, and still effectively get in shape. Students have the benefit of learning Japanese culture, language and the customary protocols. Youth will be introduced to the martial art and sport of foil fencing. Swordplay has been a martial art for centuries and is today the modern sport of fencing. Fencing is fun, mentally challenging and great exercise for kids. introductory class in foil fencing will teach kids the basic skills of fencing: safety, basic footwork, blade work, and essential rules of play for bouting. All fencing equipment will be provided for the course. What youth should wear: Pants covering legs (jeans, wind pants, sweats are fine), athletic shoes (no sandals or flip-flops, please.) A water bottle is recommended. Come learn about this great sport in a safe and comfortable environment! REGISTRATIONS OPEN AUGUST 9TH, 2013 COST: $40.00 RESIDENTS / $45.00 NON-RESIDENTS
