All reasonable steps will be taken to ensure the smooth running of the show and competitors will be notified of such changes as soon as practicable. PLEASE NOTE : At the completion of the Led Classes there will be a special class for Led Mares and Fillies: L40 Followed by: ALL Led Champions will be required for judging of the CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS at the completion of all led sections. HAWKES BAY SHOWING CHAMPIONS TOP 6 LED EXHIBITS IN RING 1 At the completion of the Ridden Classes ALL Champions, excluding First Ridden and Lead Rein Ponies, will be required for the judging of the CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS 3 CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

Clean Sport: The use of tranquillisers, stimulants, or any drugs capable of affecting the performance of horses and ponies is forbidden. Competitors are advised that tests for forbidden substances may be carried out during the Show and that testing of all animals is at the owner s risk. Testing for forbidden substances will be carried out under the Royal Agricultural Society Clean Sport Judicial Committee (CSJC) procedures and rules (refer to pages 2-5 and rules CFS1-8) of the RAS Equestrian Judges and Competitors Rule Book. ii) This Show supports the RAS Yellow Card system, which operates in the Equestrian Section of all RAS affiliated Shows and will be offered for any inappropriate behaviour towards Show officials, Judges, fellow competitors or any other third party connected with the Show bringing the equestrian discipline into disrepute, or cases which are of a less serious nature to the above in accordance with the Conduct of Members, Owners, Lessees, Competitors and/or Exhibitors as provide in the RAS Equestrian Competitors and Judges Rulebook and rule 13 of the RAS Constitution. Implementation of the Yellow Card will be in accordance of the RAS Rules that accompanied this Card, and full wording of the Yellow Card system is available to view on the RAS website. 1. All Horses and Ponies are eligible to compete in one nominated section i.e. Saddle Hunter or Hack or Riding Horse. The only section exempt from this rule is the Galloway section where Large Ponies and Small Park Hacks are eligible for both sections 2. Conditions of entry for Pintos & Pleasure Horse & Pony are given at the beginning of their sections. 3. Applications for refunds must be in writing and accompanied by a doctor/vet certificate and will be refunded at 50% of the total entry fee. 4. Exhibitors can compete in both Led Show Horse and Led Sport Horse classes, Attendance required not qualification as the Led Horse only count towards HOY qualification 5. Exhibits eligible for Galloway Classes may compete also in either their Large Pony or Park Hack Classes. 6. Novice Galloway Exhibits (0-5 wins) are only eligible for this section if still Novices in their other nominated section Large Show Pony or Small Park Hack. However, the win in this section will not be recorded but height certificates will be checked 7. Broodmares must be shown with foal at foot or to foal in the current 2017/2018 show season a pregnancy certificate may be requested. 8. There will be NO holding of Classes except Championships which will be at the Head Steward s discretion. 9. All stallions and colts (with the exception of foals) must be shown in a bit 4

10. A steward will order any stallion/colt considered out of control or to be causing undue disquiet to other horses from the ring without recourse from the stallion/colt s owner/exhibitor/competitor. 11. It is compulsory for all stallions and colts, except foals, to wear two (2) official S identification badges, one attached to each side of their bridle, at all Shows/Events at all times. The rider/handler must also wear two (2) official RAS armbands (one on each arm) when in the ring. 12. Handlers and Riders of stallions/colts must wear an approved HiViz vest at Shows/Events when outside the showing ring. 13. Stallions and colts must have an attendant at all times or be boxed. 14. The use of audio equipment of any kind or device between the side line and a competitor is strictly forbidden. 15. Current height certificates/performance cards must be carried on show day and will be checked on entry to the ring. 16. The committee will not be held responsible for any accident, loss or damage that may be caused to or suffered by any animal, person or property. 17. The committee reserves the right to make alterations to the programme, postpone or cancel the show as it sees fit. 18. Manure around floats must be picked up. 19. Safety approved red tagged helmets must be worn by all riders. 20. NO DOGS allowed on the grounds. 21. Any horse/pony that is considered a danger to others may be asked to leave the ring 22. Protests must be in writing and lodged within 10mins of class completion with $50 which will be refunded if the protest is upheld. Protests can be made by any spectator. 23. Back Numbers will be posted on FB or can be requested by email vivienstaples@gmail.com. Late entries will be allocated a number on the day, please bring a number holder or similar 24. Entry fee is $8 per class unless otherwise stated. Late entries ($16 per Class) will be accepted but must be done BEFORE Thursday 7 th Feb. Changes and alterations to existing classes will be accepted until 8.30am for morning classes and before 12pm for afternoon classes on the day 9/2/19. 5

To enter a show the exhibitor must use the complete name and number of the animal as it is shown on the horse s registration certificate. Substitutions or changes are acceptable where the Show Management deems this appropriate.
