OUR MILESTONE PLAYERS 2 Congratulations to our players who had their Milestone games at the weekend. In what was a huge weekend, the following players celebrated their great involvement with our club: U/11 - Ryley Griffiths - 50 games U/12 - Taj Damsma - 50 games U/12 - Sam Fog - 50 games U/12 - Will Fillingame - 50 games U/14 - Kai Davis - 50 games U/14 - Hugh Munro - 100 games GAME DAY WRAP U16 (1) U16 Division 1 Date Sunday, June 11 Tweed Coolangatta PBC 11.14-80 def Tweed 3.2-20 (adjusted for 60 point rule PBC 14.18-102) Goal Kickers Aidan McCabe (2), Sam Johnston (4), Flynn Petersons, Angus Phelan, Jimmy Finn, Cooper Pope, Glen Olive (2), Oliver Rojo, Harry Day Best Players Whole team Coach s Comments This week we played at home in very wet conditions. The team got out to a 5- goal lead early in the first quarter and by the end of the game we mercy- ruled Coolangatta. GAME DAY WRAP U16 (2) U16 Division 2 Date Sunday June 11, 2017 Southport PBC 8.15 63 def Southport 3.7-25 Goal Kickers Glen Olive (4), Jhett Bond (2), Corey Turner (2) Best Players Kohl Holland, Glen Olive, Corey Turner, Taj Simpson, Jhett Bond, Riley Hunter, James Huntley- Chipper, Sam Shaw 2

Under 14 Division 1 Date Sunday June 11, 2017 Tweed Coolangatta Tweed 9.4 58 def PBC 0.3-3 Goal Kickers Best Players Magic Moment Coach s Comments GAME DAY WRAP U14 (1) GAME DAY WRAP U14 (2) U14 Division 2 Date Sunday June 11, 2017 Pacific Pines PBC 6.6-42 def Pacific Pines 3.0-18 Goal rs Haydos, Boggy, Liam, Gannas Best Players Luca, Liam, Jordan, Blake, Josh, Jo, Ethan H, Dylan, Taj, Kai Magic Moments Captain Oscar led his troops onto an extremely muddy field. We played with astonishing commitment in really hard conditions against a quality team. Due to five of our regular players being out due to injury, Coach Adam asked a lot of our boys to play out of their regular position. In his words Coach Adam stated, the boys all played out of their skins!! The rain poured down but the boys kept going. Top effort boys. 3

GAME DAY WRAP U12 (1) 4 Under 12 Division 1 Date Saturday June 10, 2017 Coomera Coomera 4.16-40 def PBC 1.0-6 Coach s Comments What a courageous effort from all boys on Saturday in what was obviously a very hard game that from all reports was not played in the spirit of the game. This is already being followed up the club. We will also never be that undermanned again this year and I m sure the boys will be paying full attention at training as to methods to look after and protect each other as well. Again we are proud of our boys and we will be pumping up their tyres to continue a great season! Our nine Rep players that participated in the State Championships in Mackay went amazingly well. Jasper Williams was Full Forward for the President s team and received a medal for best on ground and took some great marks throughout the Championships. Eight of our boys also made up an unbelievable 36% of the South Coast team (easily more than any other club in the State!) They went on to be undefeated against all other regions of the State and won the Grand Final 51 to 8 against Sunshine Coast. Straight after that game they played a Queensland Country team selected from all other regions and proceeded to win that game as well! Congratulations to Ethan Read, Jack Stringer, Austin Schenk, Coby Collins, Will Graham, Mitch Beaufoy, Harry Bestt and Jed Walter! (And all parents!) On top of that three of our boys made the Queensland State team to go to National Championships in Darwin (more than any other club in the State!) Congratulations to Harry Bestt, Will Graham and Jed Walter! On top of that Jed Walter was named Player of the Carnival, which is the top- level achievement for an Under 12 player in Queensland! What can you say? Congratulations is not enough! Obviously the experiences and learns from this week will only increase all of our boys knowledge in their football journey! Go Palmy! Beauy. 4

GAME DAY WRAP U12 (2) 5 Under 12 Division 2 Date Saturday June 10, 2017 Southport Southport 7.7-49 def PBC 6.4-40 Goal Kickers Best Players Benji, Zac, Herb, Nelson Magic Moment Various from Benji Suddes looks like Andrew McLeod out there Coach s Comments A tough day our for the boys having to play in the U12 1s and 2s back to back on the day due to our rep commitments. We also landed our fair share of injuries form the U12 (1) game and that depleted the amount of interchanges we could utilise in the 2s game. Despite all those difficulties, the boys really showed lots of fight and were right in the game to the end. As expected we essentially just ran out of legs on the day, however the application and effort was terrific. When we were able to break free some great passages of link up play. That sort of effort on a difficult day will hold us in good stead going forward and the boys can be proud of the style of play and effort this week. Thanks again to our compliment of U11s who helped out and played very well. Cheers Brooksy 5

GAME DAY WRAP U11 (GOLD) 6 Under 11 GOLD Date Friday June 9, 2017 Ormeau PBC 12.6-78 def Ormeau 2.7-19 Magic Moment The conditions were cold, dark and slightly drizzly, but that didn't stop the Golds from stepping on the pedal, keeping good possession and some quick running to take a good 2 goal plus lead at the end of the 1st quarter. More great team work and tackling in the second quarter resulted in a bag of goals and the Ormeau boys left scoreless. It was hard to read the play from the sidelines for us oldies who couldn't see that far in the dark, but the Golds continued to put good pressure on the opposition and ran away with the game in the 3rd and 4th quarters. GAME DAY U11 (MAROON) Under 11 MAROON Date Friday June 9, 2017 Broadbeach White Broadbeach 1.8-14 def PBC 1.5-11 Magic Moment Ryley celebrated his 50 th game for PBC. 6

GAME DAY U10 (GOLD) 7 Under 10 GOLD Date Saturday June 10, 2017 Labrador Yellow Captain Ky Magic Moment On a cold and windy morning, the boys played their best footy of the season. The tackling again outstanding, the handball to a player in a better position tremendous. But the best of all was the way we played as a TEAM. The ball movement from end to end hitting targets put a smile on the faces of all the mums and dads in the crowd. GAME DAY U10 (MAROON) Under 10 MAROON Date Saturday June 10, 2017 Labrador Black Captain Noah Magic Moment What a game. The boys were on fire this week. They worked as a team to produce a great game of footy. They were able to kick clear to find marks with their teammates and kick many goals. Excellent game of footy boys. 7

GAME DAY U10 (BLUE) 8 Under 10 BLUE Date Saturday June 10, 2017 Labrador Yellow Captain Seth Wilson Magic Moment Thankfully the rain held off for the game on Saturday. From the 1st quarter we were straight into it. Great hit outs by our centres Seth, Ethan, Bailey and Edward to kick and hand ball it out to our forwards (Zane, Max, Hamish and Rys), kicking eight goals. In the 2nd quarter we showed great teamwork again, with our forward line dominating the quarter with some great kick and handballs, with Lucas kicking a few spectacular long kicks. Ed showed great effort in the 3rd quarter with lots of tackles and kicks. Seth had some great tackles and hit outs. A great win by the Palm Beach boys. 8

9 Under 9 MAROON Date Sunday June 4, 2017 Burleigh White Burleigh Magic Moment GAME DAY U9 (MAROON) Under 9 GOLD Date Sunday June 4, 2017 Burleigh Black Burleigh Magic Moment GAME DAY U9 (GOLD) 9

GAME DAY WRAP U15 (GIRLS) 10 Under 15 Girls Date Saturday, June 10, 2017 Carrara Scratch match only GAME DAY WRAP U13 (GIRLS) U13 Girls Date Saturday June 10, 2017 Pacific Pines PBC 4.8-32 def Pac Pines 3.4-22 Goal rs Mia, Piper, Zarli Best Players Molly, Mia, Zarli, Piper, Bella and Ruby Magic Moment Everyone finally tackling and big congratulations to Sienna and Molly for taking on the opposition. Coach s Comments Our Lionesses had a great game this week and were hard at the ball with everyone putting in 110% and were rewarded for our weeks of tackling practice. The girls are really starting to play some great footy and this shows as they came away with the four points. GAME DAY WRAP U11 (GIRLS) Under 11 Girls Date Saturday June 10, 2017 Pacific Pines Magic Moment Jasper scoring her first goal Coach s Comments This week our little lionesses played Pacific Pines and the girls had a really great game and played like a cohesive unit to come away with a win. They have all improved 110% and are starting to read the play. 10
