WHAT IS THE CAS ANTI-DOPING FOR SPORT? The aim of the Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) is to give the opportunity to participants to better understand how sports organisations tackle current challenges of doping and of the fight against doping. The program provides organisational, scientific, ethical, sociological and legal insights into the field of doping and anti-doping and will give a thorough understanding on how anti-doping operates on a national and international level. The course requires participants to take part in two compulsory two-weeks modules with lectures from experts in the fields of anti-doping sciences, from laboratory directors to arbitration lawyers. The programme is directed by Prof Martial Saugy and Dr Raphael Faiss. OBJECTIVES The main objectives of the programme are: to understand the general organisation of anti-doping in an international context and identify the main actors and stakeholders to gain specialised and up-to-date knowledge in the field of science and biology for anti-doping to expand the operational knowledge of testing and investigations in an anti-doping context to broaden perspectives through an understanding of the legal environment from legislation to sanctioning to create a wider network among practitioners www.unil.ch/reds

ANTI-DOPING FOR SPORT REGISTRATION PARTICIPANTS This course is intended for professionals who wish to gain comprehensive knowledge and competence in the diverse aspects of doping and anti-doping in sport. The course is open to practitioners from any discipline related to anti-doping sciences and operations holding a University degree (at least BSc) or any equivalent degree of a higher education academic or professional program. ABOUT THE REDS The centre for Research and Expertise in anti-doping sciences (REDs) was created as an international reference centre to perform independent research and provide expertise with a multidisciplinary and innovative approach in anti-doping sciences. Additionally, the ambition is to provide initial training in the field of doping and the fight against doping at Masters and PhD levels, but also specialize in continuing education for coaches, managers, supervisor, and doctors assisting in advancement of anti-doping. With the status of independent observatory at the University of Lausanne, the REDs develops activities in a coordinated approach to promote the fight against doping in national and international associations, support the international network of laboratories and facilitate the fight against doping directly in sports teams.
