OHIO MACHINE GAME NOTES ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Ohio Machine remains on the road for the second consecutive week to take on the Chesapeake Bayhawks in Annapolis, Md. The game will face off at 7:00 p.m. at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. The game will be live-streamed on the Lax Sports Network online for subscribers who have purchased the LSN MLL Season Pass. Live stats and periodic in-game twitter updates @MachineMLL are also available. LAST TIME OUT Despite holding their opponent to one goal in the fourth quarter, the Machine were unable to come out on top and ultimately fell 12-14 to the league-best Charlotte Hounds. Coming out of halftime down 3-8, the Sheens cut the lead to three goals with Kyle Harrison and Jake Bernhardt scoring one and two, respectively. The Hounds answered back, though, and took a 13-7 lead with one quarter left to play. Goals by Ryan Ambler, and Peter Baum put the Machine within three goals of the Hounds. But, even a two-point goal by defender Steve Waldeck wouldn t be enough to put the Machine over the Hounds. Midfielder Pat Young played his first game of his career in Charlotte not wearing a Hounds jersey. Young netted one goal and grabbed one ground ball for the Machine. Waldeck s two-point goal was the first for the Machine this season and the fifth of his career. MACHINE VS. BAYHAWKS The Machine and Bayhawks first met in 2012 and will be playing each other for the 11th time this Saturday. The Bayhawks lead the series 6-5, but the Machine are 3-2 when playing on Bayhawk turf. In last season s series against the Bayhawks, the Machine went undefeated. Just six weeks into the season, the Machine ranks fifth in the league, right behind Chesapeake. SCOUTING THE BAYHAWKS Chesapeake comes into the game with a 3-2 record. NEW FACES ON THE ROSTER The Ohio Machine have announced three new players, Davey Emala, Zach Bryant, and Bryce Young, to be added to the roster and eligible to play in Saturday s game against the Bayhawks. Emala comes to the Machine from the Boston Cannons in exchange for Mark Cockerton and a 2019 7th round Collegiate Draft pick.emala ranked 7th in the league with 32 goals following the 2017 season. The 2015 Brine Most Improved Player has five goals, three assists, and 13 ground balls in six games played this season. Young, a defender from the University of Maryland, was selected in the second round of the Draft and 15th overall. A member of the 2017 NCAA Championship Terrapins, Young is a two-time Academic All-Big Ten recipient and USILA All- American. He was also named Second Team All-Big Ten and a candidate for the 2018 USILA National Player of the Year. The New Jersey native started all fifteen games for Maryland this season and scored two goals, dished three assists, caused 11 turnovers, and grabbed 25 ground balls. Bryant, from Ontario, is the second player in Colonial history to record 70 career caused turnovers and the fourth player to be named USILA All-Americans. Bryant played in 60 games for the Colonials, starting all 18 this
