Holder) began awkwardly. ON THE LINE (J. Kah) jumped away awkwardly, shifted out and contacted STAR PLAYER. Approaching the 150 metres, in an attempt to obtain clear running, shifted to the outside of DIDONATO and in doing so contacted STAR PLAYER for several strides, shifting that horse off of its rightful running and unbalancing STAR PLAYER, which was taken out onto STREET LIFE, resulting in contact between these two runners and STREET LIFE being hampered when taken out. Inclined to lay out over the concluding stages, shifted out under riding taking STAR PLAYER and STREET LIFE a little wider. Rider pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under AR137(a) in that she shifted ground when insufficiently clear and was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence at midnight on Saturday, 15 October 2016 and to conclude at midnight on Saturday, 22 October 2016, a period of four (4) meetings. RACE 1 : BGC INDUSTRIAL CLEANING SUPPLIES / SABOIS MAIDEN PLATE - 900 metres (cont d) STAR PLAYER (D. Caboche) contacted approaching the 150 metres, unbalanced and taken out onto STREET LIFE. Taken wider over the concluding stages of the event. STREET LIFE (P. Gatt) contacted approaching the 150 metres and hampered when taken wider. Taken wider over the concluding stages of the event. DIDONATO (Z. Spain) not raced since October 2015, underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was passed fit to race. Cross-over noseband adjusted on arrival at the barriers. DOUBLE FORTUNE (J. Huxtable) saddle slipped shortly after the start, ran off on home turn and raced very wide throughout. Rider explained that the horse appeared to be on one rein shortly after jumping away, resulting in him having difficulty steering his mount. He added the saddle slipped sideways placing him at a disadvantage and as a consequence the horse ran off on the home turn and raced very wide into the straight. J. Huxtable was unable to ride his mount in his normal manner in the straight and on pulling up was dislodged from his mount. J. Huxtable was examined by the First Care Medical staff and passed fit to fulfil his remaining engagements. A post-race veterinary examination of the filly revealed no visible Trainer, Mr B. Smart, was advised that the filly would now be required to prove tractable in an Official Barrier Trial prior to accepting for a future event. Stewards also directed that in that trial the horse must be loaded in the outer most gate and trial in a race saddle. Correct weight delayed to allow P. Gatt (STREET LIFE), placed fourth, and D. Caboche (STAR PLAYER) and that horse s Trainer, Mr R. Balfour, placed second, to view the vision in the straight. After doing so P. Gatt (STREET LIFE) lodged an objection (first objection) against STAR PLAYER being declared the second place getter and against ON THE LINE being declared the winner on the grounds of alleged interference in the vicinity of the 150 metres. After viewing the vision D. Caboche (STAR PLAYER) lodged an objection (second objection) against ON THE LINE being declared the winner on the grounds of alleged interference in the vicinity of the 150 metres. After considering the evidence, on viewing the official footage and acting on their own observations Stewards, in relation to the first objection dismissed P. Gatt s (STREET LIFE) objection against STAR PLAYER but upheld his objection against ON THE LINE and in relation to the second objection, upheld D. Caboche s (STAR PLAYER) objection against ON THE LINE. Stewards amended the result to read: First Second Third Fourth Fifth Sixth No. 5 STAR PLAYER (D. Caboche) No. 7 DIDONATO (Z.
