Attention All Club Managers & Club Officers Mark your Calendars for July 30, 2016 If will be a fun filled morning of learning your offices and how to make your club meetings fun!!! At the Brazos Center from 9-12. This is required for all club officers and club managers. August 14, 2016 @ The Brazos Expo Center is the 4-H Banquet this year s theme is 4-H How Sweet It Is So get your thinking caps on. How is your club s table going to win the night of the banquet!! Council once again is having a silent auction at the banquet and would like each club to bring a max of 2 silent auction items. Whoever's club raises the most on one item will get 1/2 of the proceeds back from that item. Please drop off your items to the Extension office before August 11, 2016

4-H ers, I know the 2015-2016 year is coming to a close, but we have one more thing we would like to do in support of The Adult Leaders Association. We are going to try something we have not done before that I know of (or at least in a very long time), we are going to have a RAFFLE! We will be drawing for two items: a Ruger 9mm pistol and a Savage Axis II 270 Win rifle. The drawing will be held at the Cake Show on August 8, 2016. You have all summer to sell tickets. Money raised will go towards helping the Adult Leaders with the cost to send our youth to camps, district and state roundup, national trips, and other county events and programs. Ticket costs are: 1 ticket for $10 3 tickets for $25 7 tickets for $50 15 tickets for $100 *First ticket drawn will get choice of items and 2nd ticket will get remaining item. **Winner does NOT have to be present at time of drawing. We would like for one adult representative, treasurer if possible, to be in charge of distributing the tickets to club members and to collect the money along with the ticket stubs that have been sold. Please arrange pickup and drop-off of tickets with your club manager! Raffle tickets can be picked up at the Extension Office on HWY 21 W. There will be a bag for each club with tickets divided in groups of 15 and a form so members can keep track of how many tickets sold to help with final money count, etc. If you have members who can sell these, please give them a bag of tickets. Money and stubs can be turned in at officer training to be held the weekend of Aug. or at the cake show on August 8th. Please do not ask the folks at the Extension office to make change, they cannot do this. If you have any questions, please let me know. We appreciate your continued support! Thanks! Debbie Perez 979-255-9759 debbiedo1159@yahoo.com

The Fall stock show season is just around the corner so it s time to enter the State Fair of Texas, Heart of Texas Fair and Rodeo, & the West Texas State Fair. Entry night will be held at the Extension office on August 4, 2016 from 4-6PM. We will be at the office all day to allow for families to come in during the day to register as well to help speed up the process. All forms will be available that night to be filled out to enter these shows. If you have a conflict with this date please make arrangements with me to get entered in these shows. Major Show & BCYLS Sheep & Goat Tag Orders The 2017 major show and BCYLS sheep and goat tag orders are due on August 19th to the Brazos County Extension office. Tags will be $12 a piece for market sheep & goats. Breeding sheep & goat tags will be ordered at this time as well and they have not released that price yet.
