8 Special events children Dinosaur Imposters They are lean, mean prehistoric killing machines just don t call them dinosaurs. Creatures such as the giant crocodilian predator Deinosuchus that form part of this fascinating new exhibition are often mistaken for dinosaurs, but their fossilised remains tell a different story. Discover these intriguing prehistoric creatures of the land, sea and sky at the Dinosaur Imposters exhibition. The exhibition will feature more than 200 items from the collection of Michael Dawson, from tiny trilobite fossils to full-size partial casts of a woolly rhino and great white shark ancestor, Megalodon. Children can hear the Mayor read Christmas stories and have fun making their own Christmas craft. The Mayor s Christmas Appeal runs until 14 December. Unwrapped gifts and other items including non-perishable food, Christmas items or essential household goods, can be donated at any Lake Mac Libraries branch.
