Ø Please note that all competitors and support members of their respective stables who have submitted their entries into the BREEF organized Endurance events at the Bahrain International Endurance Village are requested to adhere to the BREEF Endurance Dress Code. As such, all riders and team personnel/stable representatives are required to wear the team/stable t-shirt which matches the sample t-shirt submitted to BREEF. Ø All riders and their horses competing at the FEI events, must possess a valid FEI ID and an FEI Passport with proper vaccination in the current year and month of the event. For Bahrain athletes and their horses competing in FEI Endurance (CEI) or CEN events, the rider-horse combination must be registered with BREEF and the horse must carry valid national documents or FEI Passport with proper vaccination during First Inspection. Ø For Foreign Athletes competing in CEN events, the athlete must possess a Permission Letter or No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their home National Federation in their own country which is valid for the current season of the event, and ensure that their home NF dispatches this letter by email to the BRN NF (BREEF) week prior to the event. Letters from the Riding Clubs or other entities are not accepted.!!! NOVICE QUALIFICATION!!!: All NEW riders (Minimum age - 4 years) and all NEW horses (Minimum age - 5 years), must successfully complete rides of distances between -79 km and rides of between 80-90 km at speeds of 6 kph or under in any order and not necessary as rider-horse combination. For the New Rider, he/she must be fulfil the above qualification within a period of 6 months and within a maximum of 4 months but can onl y compete in an FEI * event after 6 months from the date of its first successful Novice ride. For the New Horse, these qualifications can be fulfilled within a minimum of months and a maximum of 4 months but horse can only compete in an FEI * event after months from the date of its first successful Novice ride. Ø At the First Inspection please ensure that your horse is sufficiently warmed up before you bring it inside the vet gate. Any horse which will not permit examination or which is dangerous to the examiners shall be eliminated. Ø ATTENTION!!! Please note that the Arrival gate, Vet In gate, Vet Out gate & Re-Inspection gate, is controlled by a Wireless Electronic Timing System. Therefore, it is mandatory for the horse to enter the gate so that status reports/current standings can be obtained from the computer personnel at the gate. The report can be collected by the Grooms or crew members upon arrival. Ø Riders must wear hard type riding helmets with chin strap and shoes with heels. Ø (Art.80) Horse with draw reins and French reins are forbidden. Whips and spurs are not permitted. Ø Giving water or assistance of any kind from inside a car is forbidden. No crewing inside the vet gate. Ø Not more than two persons and the rider will be permitted into the vet gate. Ø All horses removed from competition, voluntarily or otherwise and at any point within the event, must be presented for veterinary inspection within minutes of removal. If removal occurs on course the horse must be inspected by a member of the veterinarian panel as soon as it is returned to the ride base and the horse s veterinary records updated accordingly. Ø Any horse retired after the start must be shown to an official Ride Veterinarian before it leaves the venue. Ø Bottles of water will be given to the riders before departure for each stage from the village/venue while presenting the departure paper to the Secretary. Ø Footwear without a heel only permitted when using caged stirrups or similar.
