Thank you so much for your interest in our North 2 South Wales cycle. We guarantee this spectacular cycle challenge will provide an unforgettable experience, all while raising funds to support cancer patients and their families. thanks! diolch! Taking in three mountain ranges, this circa 220 mile challenge requires a good pair of lungs and a strong pair of legs. From Llandudno, through the mountains of Snowdon and Brecon and into our Welsh capital, the rewards of this challenge are more than worth it; as the scenery promises some of the most stunning Wales has to offer! Darryl Protheroe-Thomas took on the North 2 South Wales Cycle in August 2016 It was only eight weeks from my mum s initial diagnosis to the day she passed away. It was so quick that we didn t really have time to look for support, other than immediate medical attention. What was most difficult, for my dad, especially was that we didn t know who to turn to. It was only years afterwards that I found out that Tenovus Cancer Care could have helped. I chose to fundraise for Tenovus Cancer Care to do something in my mum s name, but also to raise awareness of the charity and how they can help other people who might be in a similar situation. To anyone thinking of taking on this challenge, I d say definitely go for it! You get such a huge sense of achievement from completing the challenge but also in knowing all the money raised goes directly to helping people affected by cancer. And it s helped me a lot too. When I m training, it makes me think of my mum and I train five or six days a week, so I ve been thinking about her a lot. I m proud to say I ve raised over 2,000 for the charity in my mum s name! At first I set myself a target of 1,000 and I ve doubled that! I can t believe how generous people have been!
