This session will discuss how to respond to application questions, understanding grant budgets, and acquitals. Changes to the ARC Guidelines were released in January 2016. These changes and the implications for Surf Life Saving Queensland members will be explained during this session. This interactive session will look at what has been reviewed within the Member Development Project and take a look at what is framing together for the future of member development. * Member Development Project * Development Gap Analysis * Future Development Framework * Development Network Launch Rips are responsible for at least 21 drownings per year in Australia and countless rescues. This session will explain how rips work as well as provide a snapshot of coastal incidents. There is the potential to explore the Junior Activities review and to seek feedback from members through an interactive session. This session will detail the polices you need to cover the risks that exist in and around a modern club, and how the risk is accounted for in the premium and policy response. This session will provide insight into one of Australia's most popular emergency service social media accounts, providing you and your club with tips and tricks for how to increase your online presence and engage with members of the public. This session will be presented by an Intensive Care Paramedic who will use his experience to highlight the differences between excellent and poor handovers, and their consequential flow-on effects. Assessment and SurfGuard problemsolving will also be tackled. This session will include information on the new Surf Hazard Rating, how it works, and how it will affect the persoal protection equipment (PPE) implementation and rollout. It will also discuss the SLSA Risk Assesssment App, how it works, and how it can make your life easier as a coach, age manager, or JAC. This session will provide participants with a clear understanding and vision of the new SLSQ Workplace Volunteer Program. Hear from SLSQ Workplace Volunteers on their experiences with the new program and the new skills they have developed. Fiona will share her experiences as one of Queensland s most prominent and accomplished women in Parliament. This session will involve several aspects of high performance training, including training programs, loads, phases, athlete recovery, and game day. Increasing numbers of surf lifesaving clubs throughout the country are running special needs nippers programs. This session presents a summary of what is happening and where, why these programs are so beneficial for all involved, and resources for clubs looking at starting a nippers inclusion program at their club.
