This meet is open to collegiate teams. Unattached and Club athletes must meet the entry standards in order to participate. Submit entries online via website: www.directathletics.com. Entry deadline will be at 11:59pm on Tuesday, March 14, when the website will be closed. Please make sure any scratches are also removed by this time. No additions will be accepted after this deadline. Please see additional information on the next page. Entry Fees for collegiate programs are $20 per athlete, with a maximum of $300 per school per gender. Collegiate programs may pay by cash or check at the meet. Checks should be made payable to: CSUS. Do not mail checks! Please bring them with you to the meet for packet pickup. In an attempt to maintain the quality and timeliness of the meet, each school is limited to 4 entries per event and one team per relay. If entering a mark other than that provided by TFRRS, please include a link to the verifiable result in the notes. All entries will require a seed mark, location, and date. Unattached: Entry Fees for unattached/club athletes are $15.00 per individual athlete per event (example 2 events entered = $30). Unattached entry fees must be paid online at the time of registration. Your entry will not be accepted until payment has been processed and there will be no refunds for scratched entries. Unattached athletes must meet the unattached entry standards listed on the Tentative Schedule of Events. All entries will require a seed mark location, and date. Please include a link to the verifiable result in the entry mark notes on Direct Athletics. VERY IMPORTANT: Your entry will be verified for accuracy. If it cannot be verified via the internet meet management may change or scratch your entry! There is no refund for falsified entry marks. RULES: FACILITIES: NCAA rules will apply. Hornet Stadium and associated surfaces are furnished with MONDO Super X720. On our MONDO surfaces, the required spike length and type is ¼ inch pyramid. NO needle or pin spikes are permitted. The throwing circles are of brushed concrete. PRACTICE TIMES: The warm-up track oval and infield will be available for pre-meet practice on Friday, March 17. WARM-UP: EVENT CHECK-IN: 400 meter MONDO Super X720 2 lane oval, six lane straight track located north of the stadium. All general warm-ups must be conducted on the warm-up track. All running event/relay teams must check-in with the clerk of the course 30 minutes prior to the event. Field event competitors will check-in at the respective event site prior to the start of the event.
FIELD EVENTS: WEIGH-IN: MINIMUM MARKS: All horizontal jumps and throws are 3 attempt preliminaries with 9 advancing to a 3 attempt final. We will throw the shot put and discus out of two different circles concurrently. Opening heights will be determined based on entries. Weigh-ins will be located at the warm-up track. We will only certify implements that will be thrown that day in both the open and combined events. We are unable to secure implements for visiting teams overnight. Weigh-in will be available on Friday from 11:30am-2:00pm, and on Saturday from 8:30-11:00am. Hammer and Discus competitors will have their first legal throw measured. All others attempts will only be measured if they meet the Minimum Distance Requirement. MEN WOMEN Discus 140 100 Hammer 150 120 COMBINED EVENTS: The top 16 entrants will be accepted into the Heptathlon and Decathlon events. Special cases should be entered into Direct Athletics using a speculative mark and an email explanation should be sent to david.monk@csus.edu. TEAM SCORING: Due to NCAA regulation regarding countable contests the NCAA Division 1 programs will have team results scored. SPORTS MEDICINE: Athletic trainers will be on-site for first-aid only. For all other sports medicine needs please contact Kaitlin Bolles at kaitlin.bolles@csus.edu in advance. LOCKER ROOMS: PARKING: ADMISSION: Locker rooms are not available. There is no athlete/spectator access to the Broad Field House All team vehicles must park in the Lot 10 which is directly south of Hornet Stadium on both Friday and Saturday. Teams may park in Lot 10 free of charge starting two hours before the first event. Vehicles parked in other lots may be subject to ticketing, and should purchase a daily parking pass from the kiosk near the Alumni Center lot (Lot 8). Spectator admission will be sold at Gate 4 only, and proof of admission will be required to enter the stadium. Spectators should please report to Gate 4 upon arrival to purchase admission before heading out to the event venue you wish to view. Competing athletes and coaches will be admitted free of charge.
