VENUE THE 8 TH ASIAN JUNIOR WUSHU CHAMPIONSHIPS REGULATIONS The 8 th Asian Junior Wushu Championships will be held in Xilin Gol League, Inner Mongolia, China from August 6 to 9, 2015. 1. Competition venue: Xilin Gol Sports Centre, Inner Mongolia, China 2. Training venue: Xilin Gol Sports Centre, Inner Mongolia, China 3. COMPETITION EVENTS Group A 1. 3 rd Set International Competition Taolu: Changquan, Daoshu, Jianshu, Nanquan, Nandao, Taijiquan, Taijijian. 2. 2 nd Set International Competition Taolu: Changquan, Daoshu, Jianshu, Qiangshu, Gunshu. 3. Other International Competition Taolu: 42 Forms Taijiquan, 42 Forms Taijijian, Nanquan, Nandao, Nangun. 4. Duilian (Dual Event) Group B 1. 1 st Set International CompetitionTaolu: Changquan, Daoshu, Jianshu, Qiangshu, Gunshu. 2. Other International Competition Taolu: 24 Forms Taijiquan, 32 Forms Taijijian, Nanquan, Nandao, Nangun. Group C 1. No. 3 Elementary Routine: Changquan. 2. 4. QUALIFICATIONS I. All members and associate members under the WFA are qualified to participate in the Championships. Members who failed to pay annual membership fee for the term 2014-2015 are not entitled to participate in this competition. Outstanding membership fees can be paid via bank transfer prior the championships or pay cash to WFA Secretariat staffs upon registration with the Organizing Committee of the 8th Asian Junior Wushu Championships. ENTRY REQUIREMENT 1. All members under the WFA are eligible to participate in the championships. 2. Each team shall be composed by maximum 18 members including: 1 team Manager, 2 coaches, 1 doctor, and the athletes under the following requirement: a. Group A: 6 athletes (3 male and 3 female, born between January 1, 1997 - December 31, 1999), Group A athletes may enter for a maximum of 5 events: 1 bare hand routine, 1 short weapon, 1 long weapon, 1 duilian (dual event), and 1 group event. b. Group B: 4 athletes (2 male and 2 female, born between January 1, 2000 - December 31, 2002), Group B athletes enter participate for maximum of 4 events: 1 bare hand routine, 1 short weapon, 1 long weapon, and group event. c. Group C: 4 athletes (2 male and 2 female, born between January 1, 2003- December 31, 2008), Group C athletes may enter for maximum of 3 events: 1 bare hand routine, 1 weapon (choose between short weapon and long weapon), and group event. d. Group event shall be composed by no less than 4 athletes, with no restriction on the competition events and age (it can be a combination of male and female athletes from either Group A, B, C). It can be performed with music (time limitation is 2~3 minutes), but without lyrics. 2
3. Athletes are required to submit a Health Certificate issued within a period of 60 days prior to the competition (including electrocardiogram, pulse and blood pressure) and a Valid Life Insurance Certificate. 1. All members under the WFA are eligible to participate in the championships. 2. Each team shall be composed by maximum 11 members including: 1 team manager, 1 coach, 1 doctor, 8 athletes (5 male and 3 female, born between January 1, 1997 - December 31, 1999). 3. Each team may sign-up only one athlete for each weight category. And each athlete is allowed to apply for only one weight category. Athletes are required to submit a Health Certificate issued within a period of 30 days prior to the competition (including electroencephalogram, electrocardiogram, pulse and blood pressure) and a Valid Life Insurance Certificate. 6. COMPETITION METHOD 1. The competition shall be an individual competition. 2. The competition will be conducted in accordance with the newest edition of the Rules of the International Taolu Competition endorsed by the IWUF. There is no time limit requirement for Group B and Group C competition events. 3. The right of interpretation of rules rests solely with the IWUF. In case of discrepancy of interpretation of the Rules, the Chinese Text shall prevail. 1. The competition shall be an individual competition. 2. The knock out system will be adopted during the competition. If the number of athletes is less than 4, a single round-robin will be adopted. 3. The competition will be conducted in accordance with the newest edition of the Rules of the International Sanda Competition endorsed by the IWUF. 4. The right of interpretation of rules rests solely with the IWUF. In case of discrepancy of interpretation of the Rules, the Chinese Text shall prevail. 3
7. COSTUMES AND EQUIPMENTS 1. Athletes must wear costumes in compliance with the Rules under Wushu Taolu during the competitions. 2. All the equipment to be used in the event shall meet the requirement of the Rules. 3. Athletes must prepare their own costumes and equipment for the competition in accordance with the Rules. 1. Athletes must wear the costumes and protective gears in compliance with the Rules during the competition. 2. Athletes must prepare their own two (2) sets of costumes, one set of red and one set of black. 3. Athletes must prepare their own gum-shield, jockstrap, and bandage. Gloves and protective equipment will be provided by the Organizing Committee. 8. PLACING AND AWARDING The top 8 athletes of each event for male and female will be awarded as follows: 1 st place: Gold medal and Certificate of Merit 2 nd place: Silver medal and Certificate of Merit 3 rd place: Bronze medal and Certificate of Merit 4 th to 8 th place: Certificates of Merit 9. APPLICATION The top 3 athletes of each weight category for male and female will be awarded as follows: 1 st place: Gold medal and Certificate of Merit 2 nd place: Silver medal and Certificate of Merit 3 rd place (Juxtaposition): Bronze medal and Certificate of Merit I. The Preliminary Entry Forms must state the exact number of athletes taking part in the events. The Final Entry Forms must state the exact name, position and events of the participants. All the application must be submitted to the WFA Secretariat Office and Chinese Wushu Association not later than 24:00 (Beijing time) on July 6, 2015 by mail or fax to the addresses mentioned above. The Final Entry Forms must be printed in triplicate. One copy must be sent to WFA Secretariat. One copy must be sent to Chinese Wushu Association. One copy must be brought by the team as confirmation during the team registration. No changes or additional entries will be accepted after the deadline. On special occasions, if the federation adjust the submitted entry forms or to submit the entry after the deadline, they must apply in written document for approval by the Technical Committee of WFA. Meanwhile, a penalty of US$100 is required for each person s change or delay. No changes will be accepted after 24:00 (Beijing time) on August 4, 2015. V. All entry forms must be properly printed in Chinese or English. They are valid only when signed by the President or Secretary General of the respective Federation and bearing the official stamp or seal of the Federation. 10. REGISTRATION AND FINANCIAL CONDITIONS I. All the Judges are required to register on August 3, 2015. All the Participating teams are required to register no later than August 4, 2015. The Organizing Committee will provide the accommodation and transportation from August 3 until 10, 2015. The Organizing Committee will be responsible for the hotel assignments of the participating teams. The rates of accommodation are as follows: Team members will be charged US$70.00 per person per day for twin sharing room, or US$100.00 per person per day for single room. Team Judges will be charged US$70.00 per person per day for twin sharing room, or US$100.00 per person per day for single room. Extra number of participants or observers will be charged US$80.00 per person per day for twin sharing room, or US$100.00 per person per day for single room. I IV. The Preliminary Application for hotel accommodation must state the exact number of rooms. This shall be sent to Chinese Wushu Association by mail or fax before June 6, 2015. In order to secure the accommodation, all the participating teams are required to transfer 50% of the accommodation fee to the bank account as mentioned below, not later than 24:00 (Beijing time) of June 6, 2015. 5

The Wushu Federation of Asia and Organizing Committee request that all participating teams should lodge at the designated hotels. Those who do not stay at the designated hotels will have to pay a participation fee of US$100.00 per athlete and US$80.00 per team manager, coach and doctor. If a participant cannot take part in the competition for personal reasons, he alone shall be held responsible for such. 11. COMPETITION MANAGEMENT AND TECHNICAL OFFICIALS I. The Organizing Committee of the 8 th Asian Junior Wushu Championships shall be responsible for organizing the championships under the guidance of the WFA Executive Committee and Technical Committee. I Each participating team may send one Taolu and one Sanda International Grade Judge. The International Grade Judge must present their valid license issued by IWUF for registration. The Jury members and technical officials will be invited after deliberation between the Organizing Committee and the WFA. 12. TECHNICAL MEETING I. The technical meeting for team manager and coaches will take place at 09:00 am of August 5, 2015. Matters of the competition will be discussed during the meeting. Each participating team may send 2 representatives for Taolu and Sanda, respectively. 13. DRAW-LOTS CEREMONY I. The technical meeting will be followed by the draw-lots ceremony hosted by the WFA Technical Committee from 10:00 am of August 5, 2015. Each team may send their 2 representatives for Taolu and Sanda, respectively. The WFA Technical Committee will draw on behalf of the teams that are unable to send their representatives. 14. WEIGH-IN I. Weigh-in will take place from 07:00 am of August 5, 2015 at the competition venue. 6
15. OTHER MATTERS I. Each team shall strictly abide by the rules and regulations of the competition and compete fairly. I Those that violate the rules and regulations shall be dealt with in accordance to the WFA Rules. Each team is required to bring the following: 1. 3 pieces of national flags or regional flags or federation flags (1m x 2m); 2. National anthem or federation song in CD form; 3. 3 passport size coloured photos per team member; 4.
