This tournament would not be possible had it not been for the generous donations and contributions from our sponsors. Most, if not all of these individuals and businesses are asked routinely for donations, sponsorships, etc. We know it is impossible for any individual or business to donate to all, even though all causes may be worthwhile. Thank You just doesn t seem like it s enough... So, to each of these businesses and individuals, please know that your support and generosity is most appreciated and has gone towards a worthy cause. Benefiting the GKCOA Scholarship Fund Planning for this tournament has been in the works since the day after last year s tournament ended. There is a great deal of work involved in pulling a golf tournament together... a lot of pavement pounding, phone calls, letters, and even begging. We especially want to recognize Randy Winkler who continues to go above & beyond year-after-year increasing our volume of sponsors. Thanks to our volunteers that helped ensure a smooth tournament. We also have to be sure and thank our host Adams Pointe Golf Club for their hospitality and assistance in making this a successful event. For those of you that are playing in the tournament for the first time, we hope you enjoyed yourselves. For those that are back from last year, thank you for your continued support to the GKCOA Scholarship Fund. A golf tournament without participants is not very successful, so each and every one of you also deserves a huge Thank You as well. We hope you enjoyed your day and we look forward to seeing you at next year s tournament on Saturday, May 4 th, 2019!! On behalf of the Greater Kansas City Officials Association and the GKCOA Scholarship Fund, welcome to our 8 th Annual GKCOA Golf Tournament. By your participation, sponsorship or donation to this tournament, you are furthering the goals of the GKCOA Scholarship Fund to support deserving student athletes in the Kansas City metropolitan area through scholarship awards. Since 2011, the GKCOA has awarded over $14,500 in scholarships to deserving student athletes. In fact this month alone we are awarding ten $500 scholarships!
