Competition format COMPETITON FORMAT: Men s Tournament 20 teams divided in 4 groups of 5 playing RoundRobin in 5 days with one day off Semifinal games between 1 st in each group for all positions Finals for all positions Women s Tournament 16 teams divided in 4 groups of 4 playing RoundRobin in 3 days Day off on July 15 th Top 2 teams advances to quarterfinal and playing for position 1-8 Bottom 2 teams playing for positions 9-16 Finals for all positions
Competition & trainings MATCH COUNTDOWN: Teams should be one hour before scheduled time in the venue TRAINING SESSIONS: Practice schedule according to games schedule 45 minutes for each team every day before the game
Competition protest PROTEST: Head of Delegation may protest in written on behalf of their athletes or team. Protest must be accompanied by a deposit of 50 EUR (refundable if justified) and submitted to the EUSA representative, as follows: Competition complaints will be dealt with according to FISA regulations within 20 min after match on match issues; within 1 hour after published official daily sport results and statistics for the published issues, whenever during the EUG on non technical issues. Protest on referee or match official decision is not permitted.
Participation in the Competition Any Participating team or competitor (in individual event), after being confirmed by the draw, shall participate in all scheduled matches. If the team or competitor misses any of the scheduled matches (without justified reason announced in advance), they will be disqualified from the event and a fine of maximum 500 EUR will be imposed by the EUSA. That University (represented by the participating team or competitor) will not have the right to participate in EUSA events until the fine has been received by the EUSA. In addition, the SCAC will submit a report to the EUSA EC who may, at their discretion, ban that University from all EUSA events for a period of minimum 1 (one) year. In such circumstances, a report will be submitted to the rector of that University and to the NUSA setting out the reasons for the ban.

ENNO HARMS FAIR PLAY AWARD Each EUG participant can propose individual or university team for the fair play gesture or behaviour happened during this EUC. Please do not hesitate to fill the Enno Harms Fair Play Award proposal and give it to the EUSA representative. EUSA was awarded by European Fair Play Movement with ORDER OF MERIT for its constant contribution in field of Fair Play.

Determination of EUSA Annual Ranking List The points are attributed to the teams based on the final standing of the competition. For each NUSA, only the highest placed team gets points. Accumulated points are calculated for NUSA. Points accumulated within the last four (4) years determine the EUSA Ranking List, published annually by the EUSA Office. Points scheme is published in the EUSA Rules and Regulations for the EUG - Edition 2016, paragraph "EUSA Ranking List" (page 16).

Determination of the seeding for the draw The recent National Champion for each NUSA is considered within the EUSA Ranking List. If there is more than one (1) team from the same NUSA, all remaining teams are all together in the last pool for the draw (no difference between them). The NUSA National Champion is seeded in accordance with the EUSA Ranking List.
The draw The university team of the hosting city or in their absence the hosting country s highest ranked team is already drawn into the group / place A1. The reaming teams will be drawn into groups. The draw first will be done for all first positions in groups, then second positions, third etc. Teams from the same country shall, whenever possible, be placed in different groups.
