We would like to wish a very fond farewell to our friend, Bunny Smith. In addition to being the manager of Bowlertime 5 Pin Centre. She also served on the Bowl BC Board of Directors for many years. Her ideas and contributions have made great impacts on our Bowling Community, We ll miss you Bunny!......Saying farewell to good friends is hard to do. We wish Jack & Jacqui Walsh of Hypertension Escape, Dawson Creek all the best in their retirement! Enjoy every moment.......and with that, we would like to welcome the new owners of Hypertension Escape - Richie and Tammy Beaulieu. Congratulations! We wish you all the best in this new phase of your lives.......congratulations to Ryan Reid, GM of Lucky 9 Lanes, Richmond and Lara Manierka on the birth of their son, Emmett! We re sure he s a little champion in the making.......congratulations to Eric Arkoncel, Lucky 9 Lanes, Richmond for his ALMOST perfect game of 298 on his first day of bowling!

DON T MISS OUT! PROVINCIAL 400 CLUB TOURNAMENT $1000 PRIZE FUND INCREASE All participants in the Provincial 400 Club tournament must be a regular league bowler in a member centre of Bowl BC. Bowlers who are not currently bowling but have been invited to the event based on their achievement of bowling a perfect game are exempt from this rule. The Provincial finals will be held at Capri Bowling Lanes, Kelowna. The prize pool is very attractive and winners will be declared in both scratch and pins-over-average divisions. Once again this year there will be an added prize draw of A YEAR OF LINEAGE FOR ONE LEAGUE! All participants will be entered into a draw for lineage. *Must be present at time of draw to win*. BOWL BC EVENTS Bowl BC and our Associate centres have many events for bowlers to get more involved in. The events are run to engage bowlers to welcome the competitive and friendly side of competition. Most events are run on Pins Over Average basis therefore everyone can compete no matter what your skill level is. Look for these events at your local bowling centres and if you don t see the information posted ask your local proprietor or manager for more information. Provincial DID YOU KNOW The BC Youth Bowling School this past July was another great success. Thank you to all the coaches & pros who volunteered for the event. Without them this school could not happen. The bowling school is scheduled to take place in Vernon once again in July 2019. Information will be available at all centres in early December. Be sure to sign up to secure your spot at the school. NATIONAL FUND KICKOFF September begins the kickoff for our youth bowlers National Fund Campaign. This campaign supports the money required to conduct the Zone, Provincial & National events for our youth bowlers. Please support these youth when you can. We have gone back to Worlds Finest Chocolate this season. Leagues will also now get to retain 19% of net sales if accounts are finalized by January 31 st. Last year was a very successful year and we hope to see an increase in sales this year.
