Susan s Spotlight The next WOTM meeting will be held Wed. May 4, 2016 at Dominic s Italian Restaurant, 221 S. Jefferson St. All women are invited to join us for a fun time, as this is more of a social gathering. Please RSVP to Susan Glass at 216.769.9891 if you are interested so we can reserve seating. The Moose District Meeting was held in our Lodge on Sun. Apr. 24. I am proud to announce that our Chapter had the highest amount of new sign- ups. We surpassed our quota and reached an awesome 138%. Way to go to all of you who signed up new members. Our roast beef dinner was a huge hit, and I want to give a special thanks to Carol Sperry and Jane Brownell for all their help. I also want to congratulate all our officers who will officially begin their terms on May 1. I am looking forward to a great year working with all of you. The officers for the upcoming year are as follows: Sr Regent Susan Glass Jr Grad Regent Jean Hoar Recorder Judy Stewart Jr Regent Carol Sperry Sec- Treasurer Shirley Nichols Sandy Mercer and Kathy Kunkler will be hosting our Friday night dinner on May 20. They will be preparing roasted chicken, cheese potatoes, green beans, roll & butter. We are still in need of more volunteers to help with these dinners. Susan Glass, Sr. Regent Governor s Corner We will be selling hot dogs again this year on the Square for the Farmer s Market every Saturday beginning May 28. Since this is a weekly event we need all the help we can get from our members so the same people don t have to work all 20 weeks. We are also looking for someone with access to a truck. We start loading at the Lodge at 7:30 AM and sell until 1 PM and then bring the equipment back to the Lodge. If anyone can help for any amount of time during this time frame please let me know. Joe s Rant If the barmaid cuts a member off because he has had too much to drink don t take it out on them, they are doing their job, and it is a State Law not to serve a person who is intoxicated. If you have a problem with this talk to the House Committee. Don t cuss or argue with the barmaid. If the barmaid cuts you off you may stay and drink pop or water. If you give the barmaid a hard time you will be asked to leave. This is a Fraternity. We are Family. We don t want you to get hurt, or hurt someone else or wind up in jail. If this happens the barmaid can be sued along with the Lodge. We could lose our liquor license resulting in closing our doors. We are still having issues with cussing and dropping the F-Bomb. This Is Not A Bar! This is a fraternity and family center. There are women and children in the Lodge, we have to clean up our language. If you slip up and cuss, the barmaid will ask you to clean it up. If you do not you will be asked to leave and possibly written up. Enough is Enough. Joe Villoni, Administrator New Raffle 500 Dollar Raffle 1. Raffle starts Apr. 29. 2. Only 500 tickets will be sold. 3. Each ticket is a 2 part ticket.
