Netball NSW NetSetGo medals BUSINESS ARISING FROM CORRESPONDENCE IN: Item 8 Netball NSW have adopted the Competitions Framework Review:- From 2019 the NSW Junior State Titles will consist of 12, 13, 14yrs only which will replace the current State Age Champs. From 2019 the NSW Senior State Titles will consist of 15, 17 and Opens divisions which will replace the current State Champs. From 2019 the NSW State Masters Titles will consist of competitive masters and social masters which will replace the current State Masters champs From 2018 NID will be divisions 1-4 only, 1 night per week From 2018 NSW Fast5 Summer Series will be introduced. Netball NSW is providing certificates of recognition for volunteers. Memo sent to all clubs.

NSW REPORT: NetSetGo Audit Netball NSW has finished entering all players into MyNetball. Another letter was received today from Netball NSW further information will be provided ASAP. Ensure any late registrations are done correctly through MyNetball. Joeys EXECUTIVE: Clubs to check the courts for debris/damage etc. at training. Match day checklist to be emailed out tomorrow. Gymea advised that they have floodlights that are down at Gymea Bay Oval. SSC have not advised when they will be reinstated. Clubs to remind all players that any injuries should be reported to the physio on duty before leaving the grounds. There have been quite a few club requests for re-grades. There has been a regrade in 13B2/13B3 and 10A/10AR. Other requests are still under review. Photos have been sent to SSC showing the state of the courts at Seymour Shaw. Council will be coming out to inspect next week. Fatima Falcons Life Member REGISTRARS: This Saturday is Day 5. Please be reminded that day 7 is the last day for late regos. UMPIRES CONVENOR: $875 grant received under the Local Sport Grant Program to subsidise a local C badge Camp to be run at SSNA. Dianne to book in with Netball NSW. An umpires meeting was held last Saturday. Club umpires convenors have their own Facebook page. Please advise Dianne Maclachlan if other associations are calling for umpires. Umpires that have attended rep carnivals have received good reports. 4 x National C badges have been awarded. Remind umpires that they must have a current exam pass. The exam is free and only valid for 4 years. Please ensure all umpires are registered in MyNetball. Can clubs remind their spectators to be careful with chairs near the courts. Some people sit with their legs out, which can make it difficult for the umpires to move around. No dogs allowed on courts Please ask umpires to print their name on the scoresheet Diana from Comets advised that she umpired and an 18 Div 3 game and it was the nicest game she has ever umpired. Please advise team managers that any issues at a game should be reported to control straight away not when the game is over. State Age and State Champs umpires have been entered with Netball NSW. Joeys TOURNAMENT: Teams in grades 14B1 and 11B2 are to check the draw as the courts have been reassigned A grade tournament: 10 associations have been contacted to date, all are interested. There is a logistical problem with regards the finals series of each association and a date for October has been suggested. If this is agreeable invitations to be sent ASAP. Yes agreed. Margaret Corbett offered to pay for the trophy. 8/9 gala day is 24 June. The gala day committee will meet within the next 2 weeks An invitation will be sent to all clubs ASAP. Caringbah Thistles
COACHING CO-ORDINATOR: The junior development squads have begun training. Two more coaches are required for the 11yrs. Please advise the office if interested. The 2018 Coaching Committee consists of Nerida Noble, Margaret Corbett, Maria Lynch and Cathy Reynolds. Please let the office know if you are interested on being part of this committee. Gymea SELECTION & REPS: All state age teams are in full swing with their training and fitness. They all have been to various carnivals with promising results If any club team wants to have a game against any Representative team they should ask our Sutherland teams first. If they are bringing another associations team to our court they need to contact the office or the rep liaison officer for permission Taren Point VICE PRESIDENT: The Vice President would like to organise a bus for anyone wishing to travel to Homebush on Wed 30 th May to watch the Stingrays play on the show court. Please let the office know if interested. Would be wonderful for our younger players to meet the players and help build excitement for the game. RETURNING OFFICER: No report GENERAL BUSINESS: Clubs to order NetSetGo Participation Medals through Netball NSW. SHOOSH for kid s week 14-20 May 2018. Government initiative to help keep sport fun and positive. Hi-vis vests are available for umpires/coaches/ managers in training. Menai N/C suggested that clubs be informed when spectators of a team have behaved badly. The Vice President has enquired about Walking Netball. EOI to Jenny in the office. Channel 9 will be attending Seymour Shaw this Saturday to promote Suncorp Super Netball. Menai N/C advised the Tradies BIBS at Seymour Shaw are too big.
