THE AGGIE EVO SYSTEM UC Davis Athletics mission is to use every day of the student-athlete experience to get ready for a Here we go! opportunity instead, so every student-athlete is prepared for a successful launch after graduation. Student-Athlete Outcomes is about evolving young people over four years using a system, working with coaches, other resources at the university, and alums to move student-athletes along academic, life and career paths to get ready for launch. There is a set of requirements that every Aggie has to fulfill, four areas that UC Davis Athletics knows that employers/grad schools want in our graduates: Skills that make student-athletes more employable: self awareness, emotional intelligence, leadership, teamwork, cultural competence. We measure and track progress, supplementing what coaches already provide with team-specific and department-wide programming. Knowledge of what careers and paths are out there, what fits each student-athlete, and how to get there through classes, individual coaching, and mentoring. We will test and advance every student-athlete s knowledge of the working world. Opportunities to learn about work and obtain real jobs. UC Davis Athletics has a powerful network of Aggie alums who help with recruiting events, field trips, experiential learning, networking events, dress rehearsals & career fairs. We help student-athletes build the resume and connections to provide concrete experience and full-time employment or graduate study options after graduation. Tools that young people need to land the opportunities, including resumes and cover letters, LinkedIn profile, personal stories, business cards, professional headshots and co-curricular transcripts. We require student-athletes to fill out their toolkits, and monitor progress each year in parallel with academic progress. system Checklist resume cover letter pro head shot My Skills video O*Net Interest Profiler 3 informational interviews written plan for internship or other experiential learning Sophomore resume cover letter pro head shot coaching session with Mike submit post-grad plan by 12/18 option - O*Net Interest Profiler option - 5 informational interviews Senior Academic progress - basics Academic progress - minor declared Graduation! university of california, university of davis california, \\ student davis / / student-athlete - outcomes Freshman Academic progress - major declared Junior Academic progress - connection to careers DiSC Profile resume cover letter pro head shot My Story video O*Net Interest Profiler 2 informational interviews World of Work test Resume Cover letter Pro head shot My Experience video O*Net Interest Profiler 5 informational interviews Written plan for internship or other exp learning How do I...?
