Therefore, we look forward to your consideration to partner with Wizard Racing Junior Development Team. The Rider works directly with a Level II USA Cycling- certified coach provided by Wizard Coaching Services (WCS) free of charge to each junior athlete in the Development Program. The coach personally supervises the racer s continued training and development as well as full race support to prepare the racer for competition in state, regional, national and international events, with the goal of preparing them for Collegiate, Olympic and Pro level cycling. WCS develops personalized and individualized training programs for each junior athlete. This level of racing and training requires additional support above and beyond that required in a typical Junior Program, including: 1. Competitive level equipment (bike, training equipment, components, extra wheels, etc.) 2. Increased travel expenses (for racers, coaches and/or support personnel) 3. Increased support at races (supervision, mechanical, nutrition during races, etc.) and 4. Increased time and commitment by racers, parents and WCS coaches. Local/Statewide Benefit: Our mission is to truly DEVELOP cyclist and provide opportunities for the cyclists to travel to other parts of the country during the season and to set new levels of competition and professionalism in all aspects of the cycling on and off the bike. Wizard Racing s focus is on the full development of the rider, preparing them mentally, physically and emotionally for the next level of racing. Wizard Racing s concept is to invest in motivated and dedicated riders, regardless of socio- economic status, and to develop them to their maximum potential. How the grant supports the FBRA Mission: Wizard Racing Development Program is designed to provide juniors athletes with unique opportunities and training that enrich their lives while developing skills that build physical fitness, mental focus and discipline, team play, maturity, self- esteem and character. How the money will be spent: Riders do not pay team fees all fees are covered by Wizard Racing Development Team. Each rider is also provided with a one on one individualized training plan developed from their power files; with weekly reviews of the power files, this is also no cost to the rider. Wizard Coaching Services also provides full race support to include mechanical support and numerous spare parts to handle almost any situation that may arise including spare race wheels and tires, and we often support and assist other local racers that may have mechanical issues. This has and will include out of state races such as Georgia Gran Prix, Athens, Tour of Dairyland, and Nationals. We have a large footprint at all of the races we typically have two 10X10 and one 13X13 tents set up, two water coolers, to include recovery drinks/supplements stretching matts. For the 2015 Season each Jr and U23 racer will receive free of cost 1 Skin suit, 1 Bib short, 1 Jersey, 2 Team polo shirts. Riders again for 2015 will not be charged a team or membership fee for 2015 Each rider again for 2015 will receive an individualized power based training plan at no cost. Full race support both hands on coaching and mechanical support will be provided. There will be coach lead rides 3 to 4 days a week depending where we are in the race season and training plan. Previous history of program: Wizard Racing Development Team was just officially formed our junior program at the end of the 2013 race season with its first full season in 2014.
