SHOW DETAILS State Fair Awards *Premiums totaling $1,500.00 will be awarded *Payout in each trial: $50.00 first place, $35.00 second place, $20.00 third place. The balance left will be paid out 65% to Class (Performance Level) Champions (divided by number of classes with entries) and 45% to Class Reserve Champions (divided by number of classes with two or more entries). *A plaque will be awarded for the Champion in each Class (Performance Level) *Rosettes will be awarded for each Class: 1 st = Champion, 2 nd = Reserve Champion, 3 rd, 4 th, 5 th. *Ribbons will be awarded 1 st 8 th in each Trial. SHOW MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS *REQUIRED MEMBERSHIP: All competitors must be individual members of The Confederation for Working Equitation or be a member of a GM to compete. Nonmembers will be allowed to compete at A rated shows for a $30.00 nonmember fee. Only individual members will be eligible for lifetime and end-of-year awards. (www.confederationwe.us) *Working Equitation Nebraska/NEIA-WE is a GM member. NEIA-WE membership is $10. A Guest membership is Free and is good for one event. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION *Stalls will be available after 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 29. *Please complete the stabling list on the entry form for all owners and exhibitors who wish their horses to be stalled together. *All exhibitors must work out of their stalls, rather than out of trailers, due to the lack of available parking around the arena. PARKING *Parking inside the fairgrounds requires a permit to enter. This permit must be requested on the entry form or may be purchased at the Equine Check-In Trailer and is for the sole use of the exhibitor. All vehicles must have an exhibitor parking permit affixed to the driver s side on the front windshield. Parking permits are $15.00 for exhibitors and are good for the entire run of the fair. All trucks and trailers will be required to park in the designated areas. Fair Management assumes no obligation or liability for any theft or damage that may occur to the vehicle or its contents. ENTRIES For 2018, the Nebraska State Fair will be accepting online entries for this show. Go the State Fair website: www.statefair.org. Click on Get Involved tab: Choose Equine and scroll down until you find Working Equitation. We are encouraging the use of the online entry system as this is the most accurate form of entry. Entries may be made online or mailed to the address provided on the entry form. Late entries will be accepted until the barn is full. A late fee of $50.00 per exhibitor will apply for all entries postmarked after July 31, 2018. Entries are accepted until August 15, 2018.
DOG POLICY Due to requirements of the liability insurance carrier and policy of all major livestock shows, NO dogs are allowed on the Nebraska State Fairgrounds, in parking lots or in buildings other than those for direct competition or service animals. All dogs must be on a leash. There shall be no loose or unattended dogs on the fairgrounds. No dogs will be permitted in the animal barns, in tie outs or on the Midway, except during authorized events and sanctioned dog shows. Dogs entered in Nebraska State Fair special performances or competitive events will be allowed on grounds or in buildings during performance or competition only. FEED AND BEDDING All feed and bedding needs will be handled by Mid Nebraska Feeds, which is the local Purina dealer. Hay, bedding and/or feed will be available. You can pre-order feed and bedding by contacting them at 308-382-3048. SHOW RULES 1. By signing an entry form, the exhibitor agrees to abide by the Nebraska State Fair s General Livestock Information, Rules and Regulations, the Equine Information and the United States Rules for Working Equitation. Rules are available at www.confederationwe.us. The exhibitor also agrees to abide by the IAFE National Code of Show Ring Ethics. 2. The Confederation for Working Equitation, Working Equitation Nebraska, NEIA-WE and the Nebraska State Fair will not be responsible for any accident that may occur to, or be caused by any horse exhibited at the show or for any article of any kind of nature that may be lost or destroyed or in any way damaged. 3. All United States Rules for Working Equitation will be enforced. 4. No person will be allowed in the show ring during the time of judging except those performing official duties. A caller is allowed. 5. Riders must wear proper attire. 6. Rider numbers will be provided. SHOW RESULTS *Scores will be announced and posted after each trial.
