Horten inner Harbor, Solviken båthavn, www.solviken.no 1 RULES 1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.(RRS) 1.2 No national authority prescriptions will apply. 1.3 The following will apply: NOCA concepts and regulation marts 2010 Notice of Race Sailing Instructions 1.4 Racing rules will be changed as follows: Rule RRS 78 RRS 70.5 Change The rule will not apply, but will be replaced by: The organizing nation shall provide racing sailboats of a single type and of equal condition and speed to the participating crews not later than 18 hours before the start of the first sail race. The condition of the boat, sails and other equipment provided by the organizer shall not give right to redress. The right of appeal is denied. 1.5 The sailing instructions may also change other racing rules. The changes will appear in full in the sailing instructions. 1.6 The class rules for Andunge will not apply. Page 1 of 5

And is never allowed unless the boatman, raceofficer or the boatowner is present. 9 INSTRUCTIONS 9.1 The sailing instructions will be available Thursday August 9, at the skippers meeting in the morning in the harbor. 10 NOT APPLY 11 THE COURSES The courses to be sailed will be WINDWARD - LEEWARD. 12 PENALTY SYSTEM 12.1 For the event rule 44.1 is changed so that the Two-Turns Penalty is replaced by the One-Turn Penalty. 12.3 Decisions of the protest committee will be final as provided in rule 70.5. 13 JUDGING and SCORING 13.1 Individual racing At least 3 races are to be completed. When fewer than 5 races have been completed, a boat s series score will be the total of her race scores. If at least 5 races is completed, the worst score can be deleted. The low-point System of Appendix A will apply. 14 SUPPORT BOATS Judgeboats will show a white flag with the letter Jury written in Black Organizers boat will show the flag of Valkyrien The boat with 1 aid equipment will show the red cross flag. Teams Support boats will show a yellow flag. 15 BERTHING 15.1 Boats shall be kept in their assigned places in the harbor. 16 HAUL-OUT RESTRICTIONS 16.1 The boats shall not be hauled out during the regatta except with and according to the terms of prior written permission of the race committee. 17 DIVING EQUIPMENT AND PLASTIC POOLS 17.1 Underwater breathing apparatus and plastic pools or their equivalent shall not be used around keelboats between the preparatory signal of the first race and the end of the completed regatta. 18 RADIO COMMUNICATION 19 PRIZES 18.1 It is not allowed to use any kind of radio in the period from the boats warning-signal until all boats has finished the race. This includes also use of mobile telephone. 19.1 Refer to the Regulation governing NOCA. Page 4 of 5
