ft Valhalla Equestrian, LLC is a premier hunter-jumper breeding, training, lessons and sales facility located in the famous horse county of Aubrey, Texas. We host numerous clinics throughout the year with top Olympic and national caliber trainers such as George Morris, Bernie Trauig and Ann Kurzinski. Valhalla Equestrian has been a fixture in the local equestrian scene since 2000 and is continuing under new owners to be the host site for dressage schooling shows, NTHJC, DHJSC, and USEF rated shows and events for both hunter jumper and dressage disciplines. Owner and head trainer Anne Hedge has over 20 years of experience training hunters and jumpers with classical American style methods. Our focus is on individualized care and training programs for both horse and rider to enable each partnership to reach their training goals. Our home and away show schedule includes local, regional and national competitions. RULES & REGULATIONS: ENTRIES: There will be a post entry fee of $5 per class if entered after the marked entry closing date. Class fees are $20. Hunter Derby class fee is $50.00 with a minimum of 12 entries to be eligible for prize money. No numbers will be issued without an open check or signed rider liability release form (Liability Release form can be found on your website ValhallaEquestrianLLC.com/events. Current coggins must be presented to the horse show office for all horses on grounds. Please note barn affiliation on entry form and check. FEES & REFUNDS: $5.00 Office fee, $5.00 EMT fee, and $5.00 Scholarship fee will be charged for every horse & rider combination. An EMT will be on the grounds during posted schooling and show times. Once the show has started, proper notification of any adds or scratches must be made in the show office before the start of the class or classes being scratched or else the class fee may be charged. Non-members will be charged of NTHJC non-member fee of $20 per show. NTHJC Memberships can be paid at the show or online at http://www.nthjc.com. Returned checks are subject to a $25 fee. A $15 service fee may be applied to open checks not closed by the conclusion of the show. Credit card payments are subject to a 3% convenience fee. STABLING: Stalls are available for the weekend at $75.00. Shavings are $10.00 per bag (3 bag minimum). Ground Fees are $35.00 for all horses without a stall, showing or not. Stall reservations must be made in advance, late stalls will be billed at $100.00. Stalls will be available at Noon Friday September 28 through Sunday September 30. No outside shavings allowed. SCHOOLING: There will be open schooling Friday from 1:00pm until 7:00pm. Open schooling will be available Saturday & Sunday mornings from 6:30 am until times stated on the schedule. There will be 15 minutes restricted to Limit riders the mornings before their divisions. No jumper or Derby schooling. ARENAS & FOOTING: Indoor Arena 150 x 250 : Outdoor Arena 150 X250, sand footing. DOGS: All dogs on the property must be held on a leash or confined. NTHJC TB HIGH POINT HUNTER & JUMPER: Entry is free. TB registered name or tattoo# is required. Entry forms available in show office. An entry form must be filled out at each NTHJC show to accrue year end points. COGGINS: No entry will be accepted with copy of a negative coggins within one year, which may be emailed with entries or presented to the show office upon arrival. ATTIRE: Proper show attire is required. Polo shirts with a collar may be worn in jumper classes. No chaps allowed. Properly fastened protective headgear must be worn at all times by all riders when mounted anywhere on the show grounds. All headgear must meet or exceed ASTM standards, carry SEI tag and be properly fitted and secured by a harness. AWARDS: All classes received a first place Prize and 6 ribbons unless otherwise noted. A Champion ribbon & Prize and Reserve Champion ribbon will be awarded for each division. MEDAL CLASSES: Open only to NTHJC members. 1 st & 2 nd place winners will quality for the Medal Finals held at the NTHJC Year End Show. Once a rider wins the class twice they may not enter again until Finals. LIMIT DIVISIONS: Open to riders who begin the show season without having won 5 blue ribbons over fences. After winning 6 blue ribbons over fences the rider may continue to compete in the division for the remainder of the show season. CROSS ENTRIES: A horse/rider combination may cross enter only into divisions with fence heights of a 6 difference. Walk Trot Poles riders may only cross enter into Walk Trot Crossrails. Walk Trot Crossrails may only cross enter into Walk Trot Canter 18. CHANGES: Management reserves the right to change, cancel or combine classes, alter courses and do all things necessary to compensate for excessive or inadequate entries. Divisions with less than 3 entries may be canceled. All classes, except warms-up and specialty classes, with 20 or more entries will be split. CONCESSIONS: Concessions Saturday and Sunday from 7:00am to the conclusion of the show. WARNING: Under the Texas Law (Chapter 87, Civil, Practice & Remedies Code), an equine professional is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities. RESPONSIBILITY: Submission of an entry to these shows constitutes and agreement to the following: Exhibitor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Valhalla Equestrian and NTHJC Officials against any claim, demands, costs and expenses, including reasonable attorney fee for the defense thereof, arising from the conduct or management of Exhibitor s business or its use of the premises or from any breach on the part of Exhibitors of any conditions of this Agreement, or contractors, agents, employees, guests, or invitees in or about the premises. In case of any action or preceding brought against Valhalla Equestrian and NTHJC Management by reason of any such claim, Exhibitor, upon notice, covenants to defend such action or proceeding by council acceptable to owner. Exhibitor is responsible for his/her own property and Valhalla Equestrian and NTHJC Management is not responsible for accidents, fire, or theft. It is the responsibility of the show management, exhibitors, trainers and spectators to conduct themselves in a civilized and sportsmanlike manner. It is the responsibility of all trainers and exhibitors to be familiar with the NTHJC Rulebook.
