Start Procedure Athletes in position: Starter is the Race Referee The start can be given any time after the Race Director announces On your mark Horn blast The race starts
False Start Procedures False start Example 1: Several horn blasts Kayaks in front of you Everyone goes back to her/his spot False start Example 2: If someone starts before the horn and everyone else starts with the horn, the athlete who false started will receive a time penalty of 15 seconds in TA1. During the time penalty, athlete cannot take any equipment!

Penalty Box There will be a Penalty Box on the start of each run laps and at the exit and turn of the second bike lap Any penalties must be served in the Penalty Box Your number will be displayed on a board at the Penalty Box It is your responsibility to go to the Penalty Box You can stop on any of the laps of the run Wait in the Penalty Box until the official tells you to leave If you do not stop, you will be disqualified
