The Championship Course The main feature of Almouj Golf is the 18 hole championship golf course. The golf course stretches to 7,342 yards from the black tees and has five teeing ground options offering golfers of all abilities a fair and exciting challenge. The Academy Par 3 Course The Academy Par 3 course poses a stiff challenge to established golfers who wish to brush up on their iron play and short game. The floodlit 9 hole course shares much of the same inspiration as the Championship Course but with holes varying in length from 50 to 150 yards, it is ideal for golfers of all ages and abilities. The Academy Par 3 Course is a walking only course but complimentary pull trolleys are available for those who wish. Tee times are available until 20.25hrs daily. The Golf academy and DrivinG range The Almouj Golf Academy provides a holistic approach of introducing all ages of people to the game of golf and to improving the game of existing golfers. The Academy is managed by an experienced team of PGA qualified golf professionals who will deliver bespoke tuition packages to suit individual needs. The Academy boasts a state of the art swing studio and an extensive driving range offering dedicated private tuition bays. The Clubhouse The facility is a beautiful building of modern architecture befitting the modern look Oman. The open dining areas allow guests to enjoy great views over the driving range and practice facilities. The flow of the Clubhouse allows golfer s a smooth customer service journey beginning at the golf bag drop off area, with the golf operations team taking care of your every need. After you and your guests have passed from the welcoming reception, your golfing experience continues through the Pro Shop, locker rooms and onward to your golf cart which has been readied for your round of golf. A comprehensive selection of food and beverage items are available to golfers and guests prior to and following the round, including a mobile refreshment cart on the golf course. 5
The first Green Golf Course in the Sultanate
opened in the end of 2009, Muscat Hills Golf Course was the vision of the late His Highness Kais Bin Tarik Al Said. It was the first 18 hole grassed golf course to be built in the Sultanate of Oman. Designed by Paul Thomas of David Thomas and Associates the par 72-6980 yard golf course is uniquely designed over 45 hectors of land that boasts sea views and a spectacular back drop of the Al Hajar Mountains. Muscat Hills Golf & Country Club is a truly unique golf development, and is the only 18-hole PGA Championship golf course with a high quality residential surrounding the golf course. The development is positioned on the outskirts of Muscat, and is located between the mountains and the sea only 5 minutes drive from the Muscat International Airport. The course is landscaped in and around the natural Wadi terrain offering generous fairways and challenging shots over the wadi escarpments. The course offers 5 teeing ground options and therefore caters to a wide range of golfing ability, with the main challenge coming from three of our par-3 holes that are played over the dramatic wadi escarpment. Members and regular visitors often comment on the fairness of the design of the course and how the course makes you want to come back time and time again. Golf academy Muscat Hills Golf Academy is one of the top learning facilities in Oman. The expansive 400-meter, fully floodlit driving range with 9 shaded bays and a practice putting green give golfers the opportunity to practice their game till late evening. The access during dark hours is easy with a token machine for driving range balls. The expansive grassed tee in front of the bays accommodates large numbers of golfers to practice at the same time. The covered practice area is mirrored at the opposite side of the driving range where the building of the new Golf Academy is situated. 100 up-lit palm trees, planted alongside the range, add a unique touch to the facility. The Golf Academy with State-of-the-Art technologies is fully equipped to cater to all practice needed to improve a players game. In addition to the 8 spacious driving range bays it features an indoor private tuition studio and 2 separate greens - one for pitching and playing bunker shots to and another constructed to USGA specifications to perfect your putting stroke. The Golf Academy features cutting edge technologies, including V1 digital swing analysis software and Flightscope to help improve all areas of golfers game. Muscat Hills Academy at all times is run by experienced qualified PGA teaching professionals. Clubhouse Muscat Hills currently offer a comfortable clubhouse facility open for members, residents and visitors. Our philosophy is to create a pleasant atmosphere for all guests where everyone is spoiled by delicious food and enjoys the comfort of the home club. We offer an all day menu and cater for functions and home parties of all sizes. We regularly run themed evenings and our popular terrace offers a relaxed dining al fresco experience. ohala Valley Golf Club is built into a natural surrounding wadi it follows its course through a beautiful setting of spectacular mountainous backdrops. Originally created as a sand course in 1971, Ghala Valley Golf Club opened the first nine holes of its new grass course in December 2010 and the back nine was completed in 2012. Ghala Valley Golf Course is the oldest Golf Course in Oman that offers a unique challenge to any golfer. The Golf Course offers a range for all golfers with separate tee boxes built around players abilities and narrow fairways and protected greens that want a challenge. Try your hand at the famous 5th hole, by far one of the hardest holes on the course. Ghala Valley Golf Course is a 18 hole par 72 that operates under the USGA handicap system. Ghala Valley Golf Course is primarily a walking course; however carts can be booked on demand. Ghala Valley Golf Courses promises an experience to remember. Club house & pro shop: The Ghala Valley Club House sits over the 18 hole with open views of the golf course. The club house is filled with Oman golf history creating a historic feeling with modern day atmosphere. An all-day menu is available serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant is located inside the licensed club house with outside dinning available if required. Group bookings and Buffet requirements are also available on request. The Pro Shop stocks all golfing equipment & accessories. The friendly Pro Shop staff are there to help you with all golfing matters. The Pro Shop stocks all the latest gear from golf clubs to fashion accessories. CaDDies: Ghala Valley Golf Course is the only golf course in Oman that offers caddies. Our friendly caddies are there to support you and help you find your way around the challenging course. Caddies are available on request. DrivinG range & academy Ghala Valley Driving Range is open to public use from 6:30am 9:00pm and tokens can be purchased from the Pro Shop or Clubhouse. The Driving range offers players a chance to warm up or practice to discovery the perfect swing with the 250 yard flood lit driving range. The driving range has 14 bays that coordinate between grass bays and range mats. The Academy is managed by PGA Professional Mr. Jay Townsend and offers classes any golfer ranging from single handicap to beginner. Individual and group classes are available with all equipment supplied if required. 9
