About The Conference Themes Today s we are forgetting to address the sustainability of our ecosystem in the race to achieve new heights of agricultural production. We are leaving the carbon foot prints much faster than earlier and as a result we are lavishly exhausting the nature, leaving behind a dry and futile tomorrow for our forthcoming generations. Till how long it can continue? It is important for ensuring food security, curbing the poverty but equally more important to conserve the vital natural resources upon which world's present and future generations rely for their survival and well-being. The burden on the Earth will inevitably double by the middle of the twenty first century, that we are soon to enter, that is in the space of just two generations. In the context conservation of natural resources is an approach to manage agro-ecosystems for improved as well as sustained productivity. However, constraints in the direction are growing population, natural resource depletion, increasing food and fodder demand, climate change, global warming, appearance of new threatening insect-pests and diseases, narrowing the range of pest susceptibility, increasing pest resistance, slow growth of agri-allied business and Latest global trade regulations demand. Natural Resource Management Division of ICAR is conducting basic and strategic researches to develop technologies for conservation, management and sustainable utilization of the natural resources ensuring food, nutritional and environmental security in the country. ICIERISP- 2019 provides an opportunity for International and national researchers to share a platform for discussion, interaction, research communication, networking and expiring the possibilities of future collaboration to gain cutting edge technology and implementation of future strategies for conservation of agriculture and biodiversity for sustainable development under changing scenario.
