SHIBLEY S POINT CEMETERY ADAIR COUNTY, MISSOURI This cemetery brought to you by Nona Leonard Isett To reach Shibley s Point Cemetery take Route 149 north from Novinger to route D, which is just past the Green Grove Cemetery. Take D west past Shibley s Point Church about ½ mile. There is a lane on the right, take this lane about 1/4 miles to the cemetery. The land for this cemetery was donated by Lee and Sarah (Hickman) Hughes. The first known grave was in 1857. There are many graves without markers. Since the 1940's the Leonard, Sallade, Sanders and Hughes families have cared for the cemetery. The stones are presently being straightened and reset. The cemetery was incorporated for perpetual care in January 1980. Mary Leonard McKim and Lois Leonard Magruder copied the information from the stones.
