General Information and Rules for M.E.S.A. Committee reserves the right to add, alter or delete events and refuse any nomination or membership as the discretion of the Executive Committee. 2. The Manilla Equine Sporting Association Inc will not be responsible for any loss, damage or injury to any rider, horse, equipment or spectator. 3. All riders/competitors must be financial members of Manilla Equine Sporting Association Inc to compete at any event. 4. A Twelve (12) month membership is available for family, single or youth competitors from 1 st September 2016 until 31 st August 2017. 5. Riders/Competitors ride at their own risk and are to sign waiver forms before competing. 6. Committee members and family members of the committee may compete. 7. Competitors must be a minimum age of four (4) years old to compete. 8. The Judge s Decision is final No protest will be entered into. 9. All class entries are by money in the ring - $4.00 per class. Change available at office. Waiver must be signed at office prior to every show to receive wristband no wristband no entry. 10. Classes will not be re-judged, re-started or held for competitors on the day who have missed the start of their class. 11. All care will be taken within reason to accommodate competitors however unreasonable requests (eg. Classes be held for horse or gear change over) should be expected to be denied. 12. Beginners ring is for competitors that have little experience and new to showing. The ring will be closely watched. The committee reserves the right to remove any competitor from this ring if found to be experience competitors. 13. Intermediate - has not won a 1 st, 2 nd or 3 rd place ribbon in an individual class at any Royal Show. 14. Novice -has not won a champion ribbon at any MESA, Agricultural show or similar event. 15. Colts and Stallions to be handled by a person over the age of 17 years old. Stallions/Colts 2 years and over must have bit in their mouth. 16. Full Canteen facilities will be available on the ground. 17. No alcohol to be consumed at any MESA - Manilla Equine Sporting Association Inc event. 18. Camping is available on the ground. Please call Glenys McDonald 0428433522 to make arrangements. 19. All Electrical cords to be tagged for safety 20. No electric fences to be erected. 21. All dogs to be on chains/leads at all times. 22. Committee has the power to remove any person or persons from the Manilla Showground if acting in a manner not acceptable. 23. All helmets must be Australian Regulation approved standard. Current American standards ASTM F1163 (2004a or 04a onwards) provided they are SEI marked, or standard 24. For insurance purposes everyone riding on the Manilla Showground during a MESA event must be wearing NO exceptions. 25. Any person who is disrespectful to a judge/steward or official will be removed from the ground immediately; any further dispute will result in membership being cancelled. 26. Bad language and unacceptable/unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated. Person will be removed from the ground immediately. 27. Beginners from Ring 4 can compete in breed classes. Children can compete in ridden breed classes on the lead except ASH ring. PLEASE NOTE: ANY CLASSES NOT SUPPORTED DURING THE 2016/2017 SEASON WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE PROGRAM FOR THE 2017/2018 SEASON
Rules for Beginners/Inexperience Ring THIS RING IS FOR BEGINNERS/INEXPERIENCED COMPETITORS ONLY 1. Beginners/Inexperience classes have been included in this program to promote participation of riders/competitors to compete at horses events with confidence. 2. Beginners/Inexperience Ring is on the rider/handlers experience not the horse s experience. 3. The day of the event rider/competitors competing in beginners/inexperience are only eligible to compete in breed classes in the other rings. Must not compete in handler, riding or hack classes in other ring. 4. No Jacket is required but can be worn if desired, however a neat and tidy attire consisting of the following must be worn: A long sleeve shirt, tie, jodhpurs or trousers (fawn/ light coloured jeans or moleskins) and smooth soled boots must be worn. 5. A stock saddle or all purpose saddle may be used. 6. As a member of our club you are encouraged to compete in this ring to accumulate points for the year. 7. Australian approved standard helmet must be worn. All helmets must be Australian Regulation approved standard. Maiden If you have won the Best Maiden Hack Ribbon you are ineligible to compete in any maiden classes again. 9.
