OCTOBER, 2012 Volume 1, Issue 7 RCC TEE TIMES 3003 E. Main St 608-524-6000 Reedsburg, WI 53959 www.reedsburgcountryclub.club PRESIDENT S NOTES From Tom Benson RCC Membership It is certainly beginning to feel like fall, but there is plenty of golf yet to be played. I hope you have been enjoying the use of the Club and the course. I wanted to take this opportunity to share a few thoughts with you. On Sunday, September 16 th, we held a membership meeting at the Club. We had between 40 and 50 people in attendance, and I think it is safe to say that it was time well spent. The Board of Directors responded to a number of questions, and we had some very good discussion about a number of things. At the top of the list, at least from my perspective, was that we can improve upon the communication from the Board about the things that are going on a RCC. We will try to make some changes in this area that will lead to this improvement. I also encourage you to find one of your Board members, if you have an area of concern. Here are a couple other items of note: The Board has made the commitment that we will remain open for business through January 1, 2013. We encourage you to book your holiday parties and other gatherings. At its October meeting, the Board will make a decision about being open beyond January 1 st. Our hope is that we can continue the effort to demonstrate that we are a significant go to dining option in Reedsburg and that we are a year-round establishment. We are looking at ways that our staff can better serve our members and the public. One piece of that is that we are looking at ways to update our kitchen, which we hope will lead to greater efficiencies that would benefit our staff and everyone who dines at the Reedsburg Country Club. There is nothing new to report on our claim related to the damage of trees on our golf course. We continue to believe that the process is moving forward, but is simply taking time to move through that process. We will keep you posted regarding any significant developments. I encourage you to make good use of the golf course between now and the time that white stuff starts falling from the sky. And, when the golf season comes to a close, please continue to use the Club. We ll be open for lunch and dinner. Bring some friends that will enjoy our wonderful Club, and might even consider becoming members! Thank you! Tom Benson, President 1

Hey ladies. Having a style show sponsored by the Dress Barn on Oct. 23rd. Need models again. You that did it once had a great time you said, so if you want a repeat again let me know. Those who haven't done it yet, are invited to join us. We have to go there the week before to be fitted. We will receive discounts on items purchased that we modeled as well as those we didn't model. If there are people you know whose e-mail address I don't have, I would appreciate having them. Probably the last social event of the season where we can see just about every one we would like to visit with. Please respond with a yes if possible.
