GAME #29 Thursday (March 1) at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada: eighth-seeded Pepperdine (9-19, 5-13) vs. ninth-seeded Santa Clara (9-20, 5-13) at 12 p.m. in the WCC fi rst round. IF PEPPERDINE WINS Friday (March 2) at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada: Pepperdine vs. top-seeded Gonzaga (24-5, 17-1) at 12 p.m. in the WCC quarterfi nals. COVERAGE Pepperdine Hall of Famer Al Epstein will broadcast audio-only WaveCasts of all the the team s WCC Tournament games. WCC HISTORY In 25 previous WCC Tournaments, the Waves have won the championship three times (2002, 2003, 2006) and last played in the fi nal in 2010. Pepperdine has a 23-22 overall record at the WCC Championships. In three career WCC Tournament games, Yasmine Robinson-Bacote has averaged 14.3 points and 6.3 rebounds. SERIES VS. SANTA CLARA The Broncos lead the all-time series, 38-36. The Waves home win earlier this season ended a six-game Santa Clara win streak in the series. Pepperdine is 7-0 against Santa Clara on a neutral court. The Waves are 6-2 against the Broncos in the WCC Tournament, and have won the last six, including three championship games (2002, 2003, 2006) and the last meeting in 2014 in Las Vegas. FIRST GAME VS. SANTA CLARA Back on December 28 in Firestone Fieldhouse... Santa Clara missed a shot at the buzzer and Pepperdine held on for a 56-55 win to open the WCC season. Yasmine Robinson-Bacote had 13 points and 14 rebounds and Rose Pfl ug had 11 points. The Waves led by 10 in the third quarter before the Broncos closed the gap. SECOND GAME VS. SANTA CLARA Back on January 27 in the Leavey Center... Yasmine Robinson-Bacote had 18 points and nine rebounds and the Waves overcame defi cits of 15 points in the second quarter and 10 in the third

quarter to tie the contest late, but the Broncos held on for a 54-50 victory. POSTSEASON HONORS Yasmine Robinson-Bacote made the All-WCC fi rst team for the second straight year... Paige Fecske was All-WCC honorable mention... Megan House and Keyari Sleezer both earned WCC All-Academic honorable mention status for the second straight season. LAST WEEK Paige Fecske averaged 20.5 points and Yasmine Robinson-Bacote scored her 1,000th career point but the Waves suffered a pair of losses to close the regular season, 82-75 at home to Saint Mary s and 82-58 at Portland. She s seventh in the WCC in free throw percentage (76.5%) and 10th in fi eld goal percentage (45.3%). The junior forward has eight double-doubles on the year, including a career-best 34 points and 16 rebounds against Idaho State (11/21), and she also had back-to-back 31-point games against Portland (2/1) and Pacifi c (2/3). She earned WCC Player of the Week honors on 11/20/17 and 2/5/2018. She became the program s 23rd 1,000-point scorer vs. Saint Mary s (2/22). PESKY FECSKE Paige Fecske ranks second on the Waves in both points (10.5) and assists (3.0). Her career high was 21 points before she exploded for 37 points (tied for the seventh-highest scoring mark in program history) in a victory over LMU (2/10). She ranks fi fth in the WCC in three-point percentage (38.4%), seventh in three-pointers made (1.5), eighth in free throw percentage (75.7%), 15th in assists and 22nd in scoring. MORE STATS Kim Jacobs is fourth in the WCC in three-point percentage (38.8%) and 15th in three-pointers made (1.2)... Barbara Sitanggan ranks seventh in the WCC in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.7), 11th in assists (3.2) and 15th in steals (1.4)... Monique Andriuolo (0.7) and Hayley Duren (0.7) are ranked 12th and 15th, respectively, in the league in blocked shots. HEAD COACH DELISHA MILTON- JONES FLORIDA 97 1ST YEAR MILTON-JONES HIGHLIGHTS Hired as the seventh head coach in program history March 29, 2017. Set the WNBA career record for games played (499) in 17 seasons. Two-time WNBA All-Star and two-time WNBA Champion. Won two Olympic gold medals (2000, 2008) and two FIBA World Championships (1998, 2002) with Team USA. Played 16 seasons internationally in Russia, Italy, Spain, Czech Republic, Turkey and South Korea. Earned several international MVP awards and was named the best foreign player twice. Two-time Euro League Champion and retired as the third-leading scorer in Euro League history. Earned the Wade Trophy and Honda Sports Award as the top collegiate player in 1997. Named SEC Player of the Year in 1997 at Florida and was a two-time All-SEC honoree. Led the Gators to four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances. AT THE HELM Pepperdine promoted DeLisha Milton-Jones to head coach during the offseason. The former collegiate and WNBA great becomes the seventh coach in program history. Milton-Jones served last year as an assistant with the Waves, and brings a wealth of experience from the collegiate, professional and international levels of basketball. The WNBA career-record holder for games played, Milton-Jones was a two-time All-Star and won back-to-back titles with the Los Angeles Sparks. On the Olympic stage, Milton-Jones has won two Olympic gold medals (2000 and 2008) and a pair of FIBA World Championships (1998 and 2002) with Team USA. As a collegiate standout at Florida, Milton-Jones was the National and SEC Player of the Year in 1997. She also spent 16 seasons playing professional basketball abroad in a number of different countries around the world. THE STAFF Head Coach DeLisha Milton-Jones rounded out her coaching staff by bringing in two new faces and retaining the services of Josh Pace. Pace is in his third season with the Waves after coming to Malibu following a 10-year playing career both in the U.S. and abroad. Pace also won an NCAA title under Jim Boeheim at Syracuse in 2003. Milton-Jones first hired BJ Porter, who comes to Pepperdine after serving as the head men s coach at the University of Antelope Valley. Porter also played professionally in Mexico after a standout collegiate career before eventually moving into coaching. Roland Jones Jr., Milton-Jones husband, rounded out her staff this past October. Jones comes to Pepperdine after an extensive playing and coaching career himself, having played professionally in both domestic and international leagues, and serving as a coach and general manager with the Summer Pro League. THE ROSTER The squad features six players who lettered for the Waves last year, one player coming off of a redshirt season (Hayley Duren) and six newcomers. Of the six newcomers, four are freshmen (Rose Pflug, Monique Andriuolo, Lacie Johnson and Mia Satie) and two are graduate transfers (Peyton Langston and Tylinn Carter). Of the returners, the Waves have one senior (Kim Jacobs), three juniors (Yasmine Robinson- Bacote, Keyari Sleezer and Paige Fecske), one redshirt sophomore (Megan House) and one true sophomore (Barbara Sitanggan). PRESEASON ALL-WCC Fresh off being named to the All-WCC first team last year, junior forward Yasmine Robinson-Bacote was named to the conference s preseason allconference team. Robinson-Bacote scored 14.8 points per game last year, the fifth-best mark in the WCC, and recorded a team-high 11 double-doubles on the year. She was the third-leading rebounder in the WCC with 8.7 boards per game, and finished second on the team with 29 steals on the year.
